Excellent repairs swiftly done
Miguel rang me an hour after I put a request on Checkatrade and came round the next morning, He picked up my Victorian armchair and the broken leg/ castor was reattached. Since then he has fixed dining chairs, a rickety drinks table and even a wooden animal's broken feet. Amazing work from very kind and talented person and the repaired items personally returned. And not expensive either. I thought such craftsmen and service did not exist any more.
Very effective renovation of oak table.
Michenuels renovated an oak table for us. Its surface was in a very bad way; it had become 'sticky'. We are extremely pleased with the resurfacing which Michenuels carried out. The table looks like new, and it can now be wiped clean very successfully.
They were also very efficient. Arrived on time; managed to take the table apart even though we have lost the handle for it; negotiated return time to suit us.
Altogether very satisfied customers.

As a single lady I am always a bit aware of trades people.
I put a post on Checker trader and Miguel was the only one to respond. It was a small job, but I thought there must be a catch here. He turned up on time and was happy smiley with a can-do attitude. I can’t explain what a real profession he is .. I get trades people who think you are a woman and dumb. His work is amazing I am so pleased I can’t rate him enough. Restoring mid-century oak blanket chest
They were helpful, ‘human’ - offered practical advice and did everything they said they were going to do. Arrangements for picking up and dropping off the chest and for payment were easy and the finished article made me very happy indeed. An incredibly neglected and stained chest now looks glowing and in great shape. I like that they share the founding and background of the company on their website too. Very happy to recommend them.
Bureau repair and polish
Miguel was very efficient, professional, friendly, polite and well educated in his trade. Miguels communication was excellent and always kept me updated on the progress of his work. I was over the moon when I got my bureau back, can not believe its the same piece of furniture. It was all wonky and broken, paint work was damaged and chipped, most people would have just binned it, but all thanks to Miguel I have a beautiful like new bureau in my favourite colour. From miguel collecting it from my home and returning the beautifully finished item it took around 4 weeks. Amazing workmanship.
desk restoration
Fantastic experience with this company - Miguel was really helpful and responsive to queries, desk was collected and returned in good time, and we are really pleased with the results. A rather faded Victorian desk now has a new lease of life and looks beautiful. All in all, a great experience and would definitely recommend this company.
MCM daybed and chairs restored
I was devastated when one leg of our Ercol daybed collapsed but Miguel came straight round to view the damage, gave us a very fair quote and came back to pick up the couch and another 3 chairs that needed fixing within 24 hours. The job itself was done and the furniture delivered back home within two weeks and they look lovely. They’ve got a new lease of life and I’m delighted - thanks Miguel and team!
5-star restoration of heirloom red elm dining table
Miguel picked up, restored, and delivered back our dining table within 72 hours for a very reasonable fee. The table had completely lost its clear finish after 10 years of heavy use. It looks brand new and better than ever. Miguel is incredibly friendly and responsive and the work he and his team produce is the excellent. Highly recommend.
Repair of 4 loose and damaged MCM dining chairs
Miguel was lovely and so quick, came to pick up the chairs next morning after I sent pictures of job and even offered to lend chairs as I had guests. Completed the job within a working week and the chairs are now so much more sturdy than before. Highly recommend Michenuels and would definitely use again!
Furniture repair - wooden dining room table
Miguel was efficient, punctual and work was high quality. Our main job was a dining room table which was badly stained, had a broken leg and extensions did not open. It now looks brand new! And it all works...He takes pride in his work. Other jobs were a broken chair and a small bedside cabinet which we are also happy with. I would definitely recommend this company.
