I don't normally leave reviews, but after watching a close family member deal with this for over a year, I honestly feel people should know what they've been through.
They signed up with Freedom Property Investors with a clear timeline in mind and planned their finances around that timeline. A few months later they were told the property would be completed much earlier than expected, which completely changed their circumstances and meant they could no longer move forward as planned.
They were under the impression that if circumstances changed, another Freedom member could take over the property. When they asked for this to happen, it turned into months and months of emails, delays and chasing for answers.
The most frustrating part has been the communication. It seemed like every update had to be chased. Emails would go unanswered for weeks and getting a straight answer was incredibly difficult. It wasn't just my family member either. From what I've seen, their conveyancer and other representatives have also had to repeatedly follow up trying to get responses.
After months of getting nowhere, a negative Google review finally seemed to get someone's attention and things started moving again. A Deed of Cancellation was eventually signed and everyone thought the matter was finally coming to an end.
But that was months ago,Here we are now and they're still waiting.
They're still being told another Freedom member needs to be found. They're still chasing updates. They're still trying to get answers.
What I find hardest to understand is that they no longer have any rights to the property, but they're also still waiting on the return of around $40,000. As things stand, they have no property, no returned deposit and very little information.
At this point, they don't even know what's happened with the property. Has it been completed? Has it been sold? Has someone else taken it over? Nobody seems willing to provide a clear answer.
I understand that delays happen and things don't always go according to plan. What I don't understand is how someone can spend over a year chasing answers and still be left in the dark.
Watching the stress this has caused my family has been incredibly difficult. If nothing else, this experience has shown me how important communication is when people's futures and significant amounts of money are involved.

Our first investment property with Freedom Property Investors settled last week. It has been an outstanding process and journey so far. What has impressed us the most is everything they promised or said to us back at the start, they have actually followed through with and delivered, from the rental guarantee to the settlement promo they offered back in mid 2024. Apurva and her finance team and been wonderful to deal with and have made it easy and Hyrum has been an excellent overseer of everything that has happened. Once we reasses our financial position we will be back in touch with Freedom to work towards our next investment property.

We decided to take a leap to get our first 2 investment properties prompted by seeing a fb ad and seeing our retirement looming and not feeling 100% prepared financially.
