Sam did an amazing job in the fighter simulator. Jason did do as the console operator. Made it a lot of fun for me and adjusted to the customers needs and desires. Top-notch.

Took my kid to Flight Deck in Anaheim and had an awesome time. The experience felt surprisingly realistic — from carrier takeoff to flight and landing — and you get a solid amount of time in the cockpit. Staff was friendly and made everything easy to follow. Definitely a fun and unique experience.

This place was awesome! We did both the F1 cars and the fighter jets, both of which were lots of fun. This place is a good way to get away from the heat and also burn some time in the most fun way possible. All the guys working there were super friendly and kind. Danny was the dude that took care of us, and he went above and beyond to make sure our experience was special. We will be returning again soon. Thank you for the good times!

The combat simulator doesn’t simulate the real thing. Rudder pedals don’t respond, I wasn’t able to stall the aircraft or enter a spin, and the throttle wouldn’t always respond.

Hi Ivan – you have some very interesting things to say about your experience with us. The thing is, though, I looked through our recent bookings and I have no record of you. So… Either your posted a review for the wrong place or you have never been here. I would be happy to call you and talk about your experience because there are a number of things in which you're incorrect, one being our F-18 fighter jet CAN stall going at full speed straight up, another issue is with the rudders and the throttle. If you remember your class that you took along with any other customers, we don't teach or train anything about rudders or trying to fly straight up and stall the aircraft , which is strange because you're doing the experience for the dog fighting, not just flying around and doing stuff. We tried rudders years ago and 95% of our customers could not do it well and in fact it made it even more difficult for them.I could go on. But you know what, I would really like to talk to you. Please contact me through the contact page on our website at flightdeck.com. Hopefully we can talk this thing through and then I would possibly invite you to come back at no charge to fly our Boeing 737 flight simulator in which the rudders do work and our customers do use them.

Emily started out our experience on a huge high and Sam followed up with a five star experience for my son and I on the racing simulator. The flight simulator staff was great as well. Thanks, Patrick

I had a 1-hour session in a 737 that felt rushed and poorly structured. I had no chance to choose where we'd be flying, in what weather or what I'd like to experience (just landings? engine failure?). The instructor told me which buttons to press without explanations. I have some flightsim experience, so I know how the plane is controlled. Otherwise, nothing would have made sense: what is this computer-looking thing, why flaps 5, why this heading? For some reason we flew at night through clouds with nothing to see outside, yet I was still asked to make manual turns at every waypoint. Turning on the autopilot and narrating along the way would have been more engaging. Then we weren't descending fast enough and entered a holding pattern, circling in complete darkness with no explanation just killed the mood. We also had traffic flying straight at us and just ignored it, which broke any sense of immersion. Of course I came in too high on landing, and instead of doing a go-around the instructor simply forced the plane down. The highlight was getting to feel all the physical controls, having only seen them in a flightsim before. I just wish the instruction matched that experience.

Hi Alex, I spoke with our instructor and he said that you never mentioned that you had flight Sim experience. If you had told him that would’ve changed everything. Feel free to email me through the contact page on our website because I would love to talk to you.

Went to Flight Deck in Anaheim today and it was amazing! Not only was my instructor awesome and absolutely 💯 knowledgeable in flight. He was able to show us how to quickly pick it up we were up in flight having a blast in no time. Highly recommended. We even wanted to buy souvenir to remember our awesome adventure and the owner gifted us a sick mesh Flight Deck hat! So cool thanks guys! Can’t wait to go back.

I’m a retired commercial ATP rated pilot. I never had the opportunity to fly a 737, or a 737 simulator, but, it was always a bucket list item. Last year, I discovered Flightdeck and was able to fit a flight in their 737 sim into my schedule. Oh, my, do I wish I’d done it sooner! I have flown many different simulators as a requirement in my career, and let me tell you, Flightdeck’s 737 simulator, even though it is not FAA certified, is as good as any of them. It’s not a full motion sim, but it is what could be termed a cockpit trainer. It has excellent visuals, all of the aircraft systems are fully represented, and the control feel is convincing. Allen was my instructor, and his knowledge and cockpit manner were terrific. He explained the systems, took me through the checklist, and in flight he was one of the best first officers or captains I’ve had the pleasure to fly with. I booked an hour session, which comprised of a flight from KLAX to KSAN (San Diego). We did a push, start, taxi out, and then a takeoff. We flew a departure (SID), climbed to cruise altitude, and then flew an arrival (STAR) into KSAN, using the ILS as guidance while I hand flew the airplane to the runway. After landing, we taxied to the gate, then performed a shutdown. The debriefing was just plain (plane?) fun! Allen was just super. Will I take another session? You bet I will! Highly, highly recommended!!!
