Had a fantastic day fishing for lake trout with family and Captain Pete Jellar. We hit fish right off the bat and brought in 10 (lost a few big ones😩). Very much enjoyed Pete’s humor and knowledge. Looking forward to the next trip! Went home and cooked trout three ways (Thai pepper, blackened and grilled on a cedar plank, and fried). Fantastic!

We did a half day Wild Horse Island charter. Dylan took us out to the island and pointed out important sites, shared some history and brought enthusiasm to his job. We saw more than 100 bighorn sheep, mule deer, a great horned owl and other wildlife on the 3.2 mile hike on the island. Dylan loves fishing so if you’re looking for that, I’d ask for him!

While Dillon was punctual, very friendly and nice, there wasn’t much to the Wild Horse Island Private Tour. Thought we might learn some history of the area, facts about the lake, a bit more intel regarding the island and the wildlife on the island with tips on best ways of seeing it. Basically, it was an overpriced, private boat ride to the island with a bit of commentary along the way. It was WAY too much money for what we got. Do not recommend. PS every boat ride should include a safety briefing. Ours did not.

We were here on our vacation from Washington State with our daughter who chose this location as her reward for graduating High School. Dillon was an amazing guide that made the 5 hours we were on the lake the best charter experience I have ever experienced and being retired military and being in all 50 states,, I have been on many different chartered fishing trips. His sonar equipment was top of the line and made the fishing more tailored to our younger generation which speaks volumes as these young adults are all our future. Giving more of the quality versus quantity was truly amazing as we filled three gallon ziplock bags with fillets. Thank you (Cody) oops,,, Dillon for an amazing start to our week of relaxation.

Went in mid August, and the lake trout fishing was great. Pete our guide, taught us everything we needed know, as soon as we started, so it was smooth sailing for the rest of the trip. Would definitely recommend!

This exceeded our expectations. We caught 10 large whitefish and 2 large lake trout within the first hour and a half. Capt Joe was extremely knowledgeable and we had the best time. I highly recommend Flathead Fishfinders.
