It was a wonderful day to recharge from the bustle of the city. The General Store helped us with this, where we pre-booked the rental of electric bicycles, rode to another part of the island meeting dozens of koalas on the way, and at the end of the day, returning the bicycles, we enjoyed wonderful food and a pleasant local wine that we bought there in the General Store. The General Store is a wonderful place to start exploring the island by ordering breakfast there, and after a busy walk, enjoy a wonderful lunch sitting by the fireplace. I am very grateful to the General Store employees, thanks to whom our day was so easy and comfortable. Regards, Dmitrii

거의 20년전 우프로 몇일간 지냈습니다. 그때 나는 이름이 Khan이었고, from South Korea. 거기서 고기파이를 만들고, 새끼양에게 우유를 먹이고, 코알라를 보고, 주변으로 트레킹도 하고, 아 그리고 맞다 직접만든 목검으로 어린 친구와 칼싸움도 하고 놀았던 기억이 납니다. 더 자세한 기억들은 나지 않지만, 지내면서 좋았던 추억과 감정은 아직도 남아있고 그래서 감사합니다.

We visited French Island a few years ago on a bike trip and unfortunately had a mechanical issue along the way. We didn’t have the right tool with us, so we asked the staff at the general store if we could borrow one to make a quick repair and continue our journey. Unfortunately, they declined, and we had to cancel the rest of the trip. While we understand policies may vary, it was a disappointing experience at a time when a bit of help would have made a big difference.

We are so sorry that your problem of a few years back occurred. Given the passage of time it is difficult to address, but we would love to extend you the hire of an e-bike, as we now have a fleet of them rather than pushbikes. Next time you are on the island please let us know and we will provide you with a day’s complementary e-bike hire.

We had a wonderful day being picked up from the Tankerton jetty and taken to the FIGS for a yummy lunch. The staff were very friendly and the experience was unforgettable. After lunch we went for a short walk and saw no less than 10 koalas! I highly recommend this as an outing.

We went there with a group The store staff collected quite a few of the group while others walked the 3 kilometres from the ferry terminal We had morning tea before walking up the road to look at Koala bears which could be seen in many trees along the roadside We also had a finger food lunch at the venue It’s a quaint place which seems to be the hub of the island providing fuel, groceries, liquor as well as meals and drinks

The free shuttle picks you up from the pier and you already start having the time of your life with fun facts about French Island. The food is amazing and I highly recommend the Parma. The seasoning is to die for. Fair prices too. We got the e-bikes to go around the island and it was the best decision as there are some hills and the island is massive. It’s a full day of fun.

The fantastic French island Was picked up by limousine at the end of the jetty by the lovely lady who runs the store (I apologize I didn’t get your name) and was told about the island as we drove to the store where we had a beautiful lunch and saw the accommodation where you can stay. I thought it was amazing that you can drive around the place in cars that are unregistered. The island is totally self sufficient. We counted 5 koalas within 20 meters, I definitely will be coming back in summer as my partner loved it as much as I did

Loved the chicken wrap I had. It's a quaint store that you could enjoy a nice meal at. Plus it's the only store on the island that tourists can access. Perfectly located about 3 kms from the jetty so it's a nice walk away. You can walk from the jetty to this shop and then go to spot Koalas.
