I had my UFE procedure by Dr. Cathryn Shaw and the entire experience was outstanding. Dr. Shaw is skilled and caring, Esther the NP was wonderful and responsive right from the initial consultation, and the anesthesiologist plus all the nurses at the facility took great care of me on the day of my procedure.
From Ana the scheduler to Carol who handled my FMLA paperwork, everyone was professional, kind, and made the whole process so much easier. Highly recommend Fibroid Institute Dallas!

I am so grateful my PCP strongly recommended me to have a Uterine Fibroid Embolism procedure performed by Dr. John Fischer of The Fibroid Institute of Houston. My experience from start to finish has been wonderful with everyone from scheduling, to telemed meetings with the PA Frances Huynh, the procedure performed by Dr. John Fischer in the Katy location and the nurses in pre and post surgery. Everyone was attentive to my symptoms and passionate that their procedure could help. Through every step they were easy to talk to, patient, informative, thorough, caring and kind. I never felt rushed although I was scared and had questions. They followed up even 4 months post procedure to ensure everything is ok and all concerns were addressed. All the symptoms that warranted the procedure have disappeared! I only wish that more medical providers knew about this procedure so I didn’t have to suffer for the past 6 years. This is a much better alternative to the more invasive treatments with longer recovery time (ablation and hysterectomy) presented by my gynecologist in 2021.

From day one, I had exceptional care. The treatment and respect by the staff and Doctor Shaw were the best care I have ever received. Dr. Shaw is all about being pain free through the process. She was available and affirming. She personally checked in on me several times once I was home and made adjustments to pain management when things weren’t working. I wish all medical care was held to the standard exhibited by Dr. Shaw and staff. Dr. Shaw places women’s health and well being at the level it should be held. All of my feelings and post surgery concerns were heard and held with respect to my healing. I highly recommend this facility for your needs. Even several months after my surgery, Dr. Shaw was available. I highly recommend their service and care and have recommended them to several friends.

I had a good experience thanks to the wonderful staff there. They were attentive, helpful and walked me through everything they were doing which I really appreciated since I was nervous. My procedure went smoothly and the follow up from staff was awesome. My primary care physician said they even stopped by her office to give her an update on my care. My pain after the procedure was minimal and so far, the procedure has proven to be very effective in the 3 months since I went in.
