Feeling Berlenga island trip. So. Firstly, felling Berlenga people were attentive, professional and fun. The trip to the island was exciting with 9 to 12 foot swells in late March . The mountains are really breathtaking but steep paths and no guard rails. We opted out of the glass bottom tour because my husband was afraid of motion sickness but other people in our party said it was interesting and we’re glad they did it. This experience might be completely different on a warm sunny day. Lots of steep walking. We are in our late 60s.

Stop researching, book it! Excellent experience! The Feeling Berlenga team is nothing short of professional excellence. The entire process, booking, boarding, touring was simple and smooth. The boats were clean and well maintained. The staff knowledgeable and attentive to your safety at all times. We took the advance tour and it was a great value. The island stands on its own, stunning lush green and ground flowers in full bloom.(February!). The trip to the island was an adventure alone. If you are prone to motion sickness be keen to take precaution, but do not let it stop you! This is a highlight tour not to be missed!

Make sure you book a FULL DAY tour option! Berlengas is a must see! The island is beautiful and fascinating. The boat ride took about 30 minutes to get to the island. We also did the cave tour because I wanted to get closer to the elephant rock. The island is gorgeous and I would’ve loved more time to explore. The reason I only gave 3 stars is because I don’t think we got good value for the money paid. In the summer you can spend the entire day on the island but we were limited to two hours. Actually, we got less than that because the tour departed late, but they didn’t shift the departure time from the island to compensate. The walk from The Fortress to the dock is about 10-15 minutes (not 45, as we were told). If you really want to explore the island I would recommend going in the summer when you can get more value for your money and spend a full day on the island. The glass bottom boat cave tour isn’t necessary, so you can pass on that and do more independent exploration.
