Nevin was amazing!! He did our furnace maintenance and bonus of bonuses he had a Remi bulb to replace ours (it was time) and if you don't have that ionizer I would definetly recommend (we have 3 goldens). The ionizer does wonders for your home! He was thorough with his information and his recommendations were spot on. He is an excellent tech and a really nice guy! Also we have the family plan and it is a worthwhile investment! I would highly recommend Family Plumbing and Heating and if the other tech's are like Nevin then you will have excellent service and complete confidence in the work!
Highly Recommend Family Heating and Cooling!
I couldn’t be happier with the service I received from Family Heating and Cooling. They just finished installing my new furnace and did an absolutely awesome job.
A huge shoutout to the crew—Billie, Jeff, and Scott. They were professional, efficient, and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It’s rare to find a team that is this hardworking and attentive to detail.
If you're looking for quality work and a stress-free experience, look no further. Thanks again, guys!
Nevin returned 02/13/26 with my Family Plan to make sure everything is still in working order. He made sure my equipment is running smoothly. 5 stars all around.

Hi Michael,
I’m sorry you’re frustrated and want to clarify what occurred.
You contacted us after installing a thermostat yourself and experiencing heating issues. On our first visit, the technician identified a failing pressure switch, a safety component that was causing the furnace to shut down. The part was ordered and replaced, and the system was tested at that time and was working properly.
When you reported continued issues, we returned and discovered elevated carbon monoxide levels caused by a failed heat exchanger. At that point, the furnace was red tagged because it was unsafe to operate. This is not optional and is done strictly for safety.
When replacement was not a viable option at that time, we provided information for local assistance programs we regularly work with for emergency furnace replacements. We did not receive confirmation that a replacement was being funded. I later spoke with you to explain this and to confirm you had the assistance information.
We know this was frustrating. We explained what we found and the options available at the time. If you’d like to talk further, please contact our office.

Family heating and cooling is the best. Josh was so professional, dog friendly and made sure to explain everything in detail. The price was good and the work was even better. We’re all nice and toasty again. I’ll be using them for all my heating and cooling needs in the future. Thanks again!
