Face Value Salon is very clean, stylish and pretty. I saw Ashley for a cut and color and I highly recommend her! She was so easy to talk to. She understood my needs and gave me advice specific to my hair type. She was an expert in cut and color. My hair felt so much more healthy and full after my visit.

I trusted this salon for my first-ever fantasy hair color, and while the color looked beautiful at first, I was convinced by the owner and her daughter to permanently dye my hair. The result was devastating: I lost a significant amount of hair (over half my hair is missing and right after doing it my husband said where did your hair go? He said over half of it is missing and I couldn’t tell how much was missing because the staff hid the loss of hair in the sink from me), and three years later, it still hasn’t recovered. This affects my daily mood and confidence.
I’ve avoided heat and coloring since then to help my hair heal. While the quality of my remaining hair is improving, the amount I lost was not worth it for a temporary look. I believe they should have used a temporary dye rather than a permanent treatment, especially for a first-time fantasy color.
If you’re considering a permanent fantasy color here, proceed with caution—the chemicals are strong, and recovery can take years.
Jessy and her bridal hair and make up team were wonderful! They have an exceptional suite my bridal party and I were able to get ready in. They made us feel very welcome, comfortable and provided hair and makeup services in a timely manner. Jessy was so kind and did some amazing color correcting magic on some blemishes, in addition to the polished and natural looking makeup. She was attentive to making adjustments from my hair trial and provided a calming atmosphere on the big day. She took her time with my bridal makeup, and it looked flawless and lasted the whole night. She provided extra lip gloss to go which was a special touch. The team was able to create beautiful up-dos and curls for the entire bridal party-I would highly recommend Jessy and her team for hair and makeup services. I was so happy to have them as part of our vendor team for our Charlottesville wedding.
