Dr Rubiano has been treating my heel spurs for a little over a year I believe. I’ve been into the Lewis Gale office multiple times to get heel injections and I never have an issue setting up an appointment fairly last minute. He and his staff are very kind. He’s very knowledgeable and addresses any concerns I have. I would suggest arriving early and taking advantage of the valet parking!

Dr. Manafi is a young surgeon who truly knows how to operate. He performed my surgery alongside the orthopedic trauma team. I saw him throughout my entire hospital stay. He was knowledgeable, skilled, and took the time to explain everything along the way. There are not many highly skilled podiatrists. Dr. Manafi has earned my trust through his work with the orthopedic trauma team. LewisGale Hospital is fortunate to have him on their staff. I highly recommend Dr. Manafi to anyone needing foot and ankle care.

I was seen by Dr. Manafi in the hospital for an infection of my Achilles. This young, talented surgeon performed my procedure, achieved source control, applied a wound vac, and repaired my Achilles tendon. We need more confident surgeons like Dr. Manafi.

I've seen twice by Dr. Young at the Salem office and I was having extreme pain with malformed ties and missed toenails. He immediately did a nail trim that cleared up the space around the nail and the buildup of fungus underneath. It made an immediate difference which having monthly pedicures did not relieve. My recent visit was another trim as I had been having slight pain about a couple of weeks and his trim treatment again solved this. We've already scheduled my next visit and if other issues arise I am sure I can rely on his expertise.

What nobody on here mentions, is that if you start with one dr. but then have some issues, you can't see another dr. You have to wait and suffer until your dr has an availability which in my case was several weeks. No worries, these quacks aren't the only foot dr in Roanoke.

Dr. Manafi where do I begin? This young surgeon is truly one of a kind. His bedside manner is exceptional, and he takes the time to explain all available options while also providing his personal recommendations. He is an outstanding surgeon with a very bright future ahead of him. I first saw him in the hospital and was extremely impressed with the care I received. My only challenge was scheduling a post-operative appointment through the clinic, which could use some improvement in supporting and accommodating patients seeking follow-up care with him. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Manafi. God bless.

Dr Clements was amazing. My son had two severed tendons and a severed artery in his foot after a bizarre incident/accident. We saw an ER Dr and ortho from a different hospital that both told us artery was fine. Fortunately we were able to get Dr Clements to read MRI, he had him in surgery the next day (a Saturday), he successfully reattached the tendons and tied off the artery. Great surgeon, humble and intelligent man. My family and I could not be more grateful.

Dr. Manafi is charming, professional, and attentive. He always made his rounds in the hospital memorable and took the time to make me feel comfortable and informed throughout my stay. I came in with a severe infection and he made sure I was fully treated, stable, and improving before discharge. He coordinated closely with the other providers involved in my care and personally performed my surgery with great skill and confidence. I am truly grateful for the care I received and highly recommend Dr. Manafi to anyone seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated foot and ankle surgeon .

Dr. Zelen told my teenage soon, in the presence of my wife, that he should "spend the next six months with unlimited access to his iPad." He even disrespectfully addressed my wife to make sure she "understood the new rules." No recommendation to read a book, exercise, or do anything productive...Just unlimited access to a screen...to the internet...for six months! Unbelievable. Is this what the medical profession has become? How many kids lives are being wrecked by such "medical" advice? What happened to the Hippocratic Oath? We won't be back. Guard your children...protect their hearts and minds. Don't outsource it.
