Could not recommend Explora enough! We had an amazing 7-day trip to Tassie, and explora provided everything we could have possibly needed for a fraction of the price of other options. Their website is also super informative if you’re looking for campsites, itineraries, or just things to do! The car was comfortable, and all the camping equipment was in perfect condition, and kept dry from a night of torrential rain. Joice was very friendly and helpful, and made a very smooth pickup and drop off! Thank you!

I've hired a nice Toyota Kluger with the camping gear included, which had everything I needed. The sleeping bag, the additional blanket and the pillow were nice and clean. I was also able to sleep in the car comfortably.
Joyce has been very kind and helpful, making my first solo roadtrip unforgettable.

Explora hat unsere Reise durch Tasmanien wirklich besonders gemacht. Als ich zum ersten Mal von einem Service gehört habe, der sowohl ein Auto als auch komplette Campingausrüstung zusammen anbietet, konnte ich es kaum glauben. Für das, was man bekommt, ist der Preis sehr fair.
Die Website ist übersichtlich und einfach zu verstehen, und in weniger als zehn Minuten hat man ein Auto mit allem nötigen Zubehör gebucht. Die Campingausrüstung ist neu, hochwertig und enthält alles, was man für einen Campingtrip braucht.
Der Kontakt ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bei Fragen oder Wünschen wird einem schnell und unkompliziert geholfen.
Für mich war Explora die perfekte Möglichkeit, Tasmanien zehn Tage lang zu bereisen. Vielen Dank!
We couldn’t recommend Explora more highly!! Wish we could give more than 5 stars !!!! Everything was perfect! So easy to communicate with- top class gear in great condition provided ! Really comfortable sleeping mattress given to us and made camping for 2.5 weeks easy on us ! The car was reliable and very good on fuel! Joyce printed out our parks pass for us and helped us on our way with a free shop to select a few essentials from! Camping in Tassie is so effortless and fun and we would return in a heartbeat and do it all over again with Explora!!
Explora is the way to go! Our Toyota Kluger was the perfect way for us to go round bends, up and down hills, through wilderness and alongside waterways. The camping gear that we took was just right. Best of all is the friendly and helpful service. Seba and Joice are genuinely kind and thoughtful. They run an efficient business in a warm, relaxed and respectful way. Five stars from us.

Absolutely unforgettable experience with Explora!
We rented a car and full camping gear for one week in Tasmania and traveled as a group of five — and honestly, it couldn’t have gone any better. Everything was smooth from start to finish, and the equipment was impeccable, well-maintained, and perfectly suited for a road trip around the island.
Sebastián and his partner are truly wonderful people: kind, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to give us tons of valuable tips and insights about traveling in Tasmania, which made a huge difference and helped us make the most of our journey. You can really tell they care — they went the extra mile, and it shows.
The price was more than fair, the service was top-notch, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. We felt so comfortable and well supported that we would recommend this type of experience to anyone without hesitation.

Explora was great! The camping gear is clean and high quality and the owners were very helpful. I called asking if pickup would be possible the same day, and due to the effort of the owners we were able to pick up the gear 30 mins later. Would definitely recommend!
We saved so much fuss (and a fair bit of money) renting with Explora. Having a full set of camping gear gave us a lot of freedom and let us really make the most of our time in Tasmania.
Car ran well and very fuel efficient- we had a Cerato, which was pretty packed with our bags and all the gear but still quite comfortable.
Super friendly and attentive service and they were able to accommodate us when we requested an extra day at the last minute.
Highly recommend!

We had an amazing four days in Tasmania and the car rental service was just what we needed. The boot was packed full of everything to camp and cook. Everything was clean and clear and the car was comfy and great to drive around the winding roads. Picking up the car was easy with a short ride from Hobart airport, and the customer service was great. Really recommend to anyone looking for an easy way to travel around Tasmania - great value for money!

I cannot recommend Explora enough! We took a Kia cerato for the first seven days of our trip (without camping gear) and then a Toyota Kluger for the next seven days with camping gear. We travelled as a family of four (kids aged 8&9) and the gear was clean, suitable and in excellent condition. The tents were easy enough for the kids to set up with minimal help. The owners were friendly and helpful with many great suggestions of places to go and things to see. Pick up and drop off was a breeze!

My travel buddy and I were flying to Tassie for a camping trip and needed a last-minute gear hire. This was 100% worth the money, as it saved us the hassle of buying and then getting rid of miscellaneous camping equipment. We rented the full set from Explora, which included a tent, sleeping gear, cooking materials, a table, and chairs. Boom. All in one place. If you're flying in and can't bring gear, this is definitely the way to go.
This seems to also be family-run, as we just picked up and returned the gear at a family's house. The couple was super friendly and gave us some tips before we left. They were also available to call when we wanted to extend our booking. Would rent again!
