Sally/European Car Importers have been fantastic, delivering excellent service and communication every step of the way. While I was nervous importing a car for the first time, Sally made it very easy and gave me a lot of trust in their processes. I’m super pleased with the outcome (vehicle, cost, timing) and I am sure I will be using them again in future. I would 100% recommend.

Highly recommended! Sally was great and answered all my initial questions and queries on the import process. I particularly liked the transparency of the service, so you know exactly what the process looks like and what the costs will be. Really impressed too at the apparent care taken of the vehicle along the way by shippers/transporters etc. Regular updates and helpful advice when needed were the icing on the cake – thanks again!

Sally and Lincoln were amazing to work with. My car took 11 months to build and ship, and the communication through this process was very reassuring, and highly professional. Because the car is not for sale in NZ, the additional service to get is registered and road legal for NZ was hugely appreciated, and not something I could have done without them. We recently imported a motorhome from the UK, and it would have been impossible for us to have done it without the very excellent service provided by Sally Roberts of European Car Imports.
Due to it being a modified vehicle for disability use, it has a number of special features that need specialist certification. We ran into a couple of frustrating compliance issues which Sally dealt with swiftly and professionally. Thanks to her contacts she was able to facilitate the work needed and kept us informed every step of the way through phone calls, emails, texts and pictures.
Sally always made time to talk to us and went above and beyond to solve problems that cropped up. We can’t recommend her expertise highly enough if anyone is considering importing a vehicle from Europe or the UK.
Thank you Sally, for making a stressful experience as pain free as possible and for somehow retaining your sense of humour through it all!

I ordered my 911 Turbo late 2022, then the war and a whole lot is other issues took over. through the whole process Sally was in touch, effective and up front. Issues with delivery were resolved quickly and easily and they made the challenging wait as good as it could have been. I’d highly recommend this team to anyone.

Acquired a 1953 Bristol 403 from a private seller in the UK. Sally and Lincoln made the whole challenging logistical process of shipping and importing this classic into New Zealand seamless:-). Not only did they do this on time and budget, they even booked me a ferry spot between islands for an epic road trip to bring the old girl home.

Sally and Lincoln imported my 2020 Mercedes GLE from the UK. They then sold my NZ New 2013 Range Rover Sport within a week of listing it. As with the Mercedes purchase, ECI communicated really well and I’m delighted with the hassle free outcome. Highly recommend ECI.

I really enjoy using manual transmissions, but when it came time to update my faithful daily driver, the choice of nice cars of the right specs in New Zealand was extremely limited. Consequently, I decided to look overseas. I had no idea how to go about importing a vehicle, so did a Google search and European Car Imports name popped up.
From the moment I contacted them, Sally was extremely helpful. No question was too difficult, and responses were prompt. Under Sally’s guidance I set about finding the right car and, after a couple of false starts (car had either already been sold or was not VAT qualifying), found a car that suited my needs.
From then on Sally and the team at European Car Imports pretty much handled the entire process painlessly. I was given a full breakdown of likely costs, the car was inspected in the UK, and the purchase carried out. Freight and insurance were all arranged, and I was kept appraised of the status of my buy at all times.
Fast forward ten weeks and the car arrived in New Zealand and cleared Customs and inspection by MPI. Sally and Lincoln then took care of registration and warrant, and, in my case, the fitting of a tow bar. After a thorough groom the car was ready and it was simply a matter of flying to Auckland and being handed the keys for the drive home.
In short, European Car Imports provide a first class, go to whoa service, at what I think is a very reasonable price. No hassles, no hidden costs, no unexpected pitfalls. If you are contemplating bringing a car in from the UK I would unreservedly recommend them.

Like most of us scrolling through these reviews our experience of buying a car has traditionally been based on dealers and private sales. You get to see what you are buying. For me the opportunity to use European’s services arose after I couldn’t find my model variant anywhere in NZ.

Above and beyond is the words I would use when discribing the service given by Sally and Lincoln.
I recently purchased a car from them and although we had some unforeseen issues they were nothing but helpful and accomodating through a stressful process on my part.
It was evident through this that the most important thing for them was that I was comfortable, happy and well looked after to the point that they managed to source me an in between car at no extra costs, yet a huge amount of time taken up on their side.
Nothing was ever an issue which is a refreshing change given the car industries normal standard
I could not recommend them enough and will be purchasing my next car through them without hesitation.
