I had a consultation with Ethos Migration regarding my visa situation. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. After explaining my circumstances in detail, I was told the only option available to me was to apply for an offshore partner visa, and that there was absolutely no way to lodge an onshore partner visa. I trusted this advice and paid for the consultation. Later, I sought a second opinion from another migration lawyer, who reviewed my situation more thoroughly and advised that I could request Ministerial Intervention and then apply onshore if successful. We followed that guidance, and I am pleased to say that the Minister has now approved us to apply onshore. I feel that Ethos Migration did not explore all possible pathways or provide the full range of options for my visa situation, which caused unnecessary stress, delays, and additional costs for my family. I hope they improve the thoroughness of their assessments so clients can make fully informed decisions.
