I didn’t move forward with any procedures here, so I can’t speak to dr kwak’s results. However, the communication made me hesitant to continue. I submitted photos for a consultation and wasn’t given a timeline for follow up. After waiting two business days, I had to reach out myself. When they responded, they repeatedly referenced procedures I never asked about. I had inquired about submental lipo and possibly fillers, but was instead told about fat transfer and later chin augmentation. Overall, the communication felt inconsistent and unclear, similar to what another reviewer mentioned. For a reputable doctor like dr kwak, I expected more attentive and accurate communication when patients are trying to understand their options. I hope they improve this aspect of the patient experience.

I had double eyelid surgery with ptosis repair and lower eyelid surgery done by Dr Kwak in July 2025. It’s been 4 month post-op and I absolutely love result. It is the best thing I have done for myself. Even my coworkers have told me that I look so much better. Dr Kwak is an amazing surgeon. He has expert hands, really highly skilled surgeon. And his team is amazing too especially Jane. She was so helpful. She was the one who recommended the lower eye lid surgery and I’ve now realized what a huge difference it has made to my overall appearance. Best experience ever. Totally worth it.

1 year after my Asian septorhinoplasty, and I am extremely happy with the results. Dr. Kwak is a perfectionist. My surgery was supposed to be 2.5-3 hours, but he ended up spending 4 hours on it so it could be perfect. I already trusted him before, but to know that I was taken care of while I was under demonstrates the care that Dr. Kwak and the other doctors/surgical assistants have for patients. My nose is exactly what I asked for, if not better. In the past year, I have also been anxious about my nose a few times because of the normal little things you experience during the healing process (swelling, dryness, inflammation allergy season). The team has been incredibly responsive and proactive with addressing these minor concerns.

Dr. Kwak and his staff were amazing. I went in for a consultation for a deviated septum and they really took the time during my first visit to discuss options and outcomes, and explain the process. I felt heard and comfortable, which was important to me considering how big of a procedure it was going to be. Before surgery, they provided me with detailed instructions and worked with me on payment terms. The day of surgery was really comfortable and easy and since then, my nose has been healing nicely. I’m really pleased with the outcome, as I felt Dr. Kwak fixed all my issues while making the nose contour well to my natural features. My quality of life has improved tremendously and the entire experience was very pleasant. Everyone in the office was very nice and helpful and I would definitely recommend!

When I decided to go to Dr. Kwak, I ignored the negative reviews because they were for rhinoplasties and I was getting a blepharoplasty. It seems like the negative reviews have disappeared from the review sites since then. I hope someone sees this blepharoplasty review and makes better choices. I saw so many red flags and didn’t listen to them because I was desperate. When people say to go to Korea for revision surgery, they’re probably right. you just can’t trust doctors here with your eyelids. Dr. Kwak said there’s a 85 percent chance of success but who is actually checking this statistic? There’s no way of knowing if this is true. Mine was a fail. I knew the moment after surgery was done. He walked out of the room and barely said a word. I continued to go to one month and two month checkups which were done by his nurse. They kept reassuring me that the asymmetry would subside after 6 months and it was just swelling. Well it’s been 6 months and it’s not better. He simply messed up and he never warned me about the scar that I would be left with. I was better off not getting surgery. Here were the red flags. His receptionist and his nurses were consistently confused as to whether I was getting one or two eyelids done to correct my asymmetry. I kept telling them I wanted one. Yet on the day of surgery the nurse thought I was doing both. She also asked me if I took medications I was never supposed to take. I even went in the day before surgery so this shouldn’t have been so confusing for anyone. The lack of communication alone was needlessly stressful. Then after I was given anesthesia, I could feel the procedure and it was more than just slight pressure. He either started too fast or didn’t give enough. I have been through all kinds of procedures, even had a baby and I know what “slight pressure” feels like and that was not it. Now my eyelids are more asymmetrical than what I started with. I believe this doctor thought I was getting both eyelids done and because of this he made the one eyelid larger than it needed to be, thinking he would make the other eyelid the same. Then when I said I was only supposed to do one eyelid to look like the other, he failed to correct his mistake. Please listen to negative reviews. You don’t want to be in the 15% of people who end up with failed results, and that percent might be greater. You never really know.

I don’t even know how to describe how amazing Dr. Kwak is but I had a revision nose job with him and I could not have asked for a better experience. The entire process from the consult through the surgery and recovery was perfect. It has not even been a month since the surgery and my nose looks better than it ever has and my breathing has been perfected! My first surgeon only made my nose worse, but Dr. kwak saved me. All his staff is wonderful especially Julia who was so amazing on the day of surgery!

Dr. Kwak is an absolute master of his craft!!! I booked a consult with him to discuss some sagging skin around my neck and jawline. I'm still young at 35, but felt that the sagging and lack of definition at my jawline was really beginning to age me.
