Terminal Room: Game master wasn’t very helpful or engaging. The black light clues were hard to read. Some of the clues were small print or extraneously numerous which made for extra long time. This room required you to write a lot of information down and they don’t give you a writing pad until later in the game. For the over 80+ escape rooms we have done, it’s a first time in a long time that game master didn’t let us play through even though we were down to the final puzzle. For the $200+ we paid it would have been nice letting us play through. Some of the puzzles were creative, I will give that much. We usually have fun with this company, but this location we probably won’t be returning.
This was my first time using an escape room. What a fun experience! The tasks were challenging and fun. The staff is welcoming and we would love to come back and try another room to be challenged!

Rude Staff
Disappointing. The game master was rude and not at all helpful. I have been to this location several times and had a very positive experience each time. Never have I been yelled at by a game master. Less than 1 minute in she yelled at us for not paying attention to the video and minutes later she was yelling again because my daughter tried to pick up candle sticks Velcro’d to the table. She was intentionally vague when we asked for a clue. When I asked the person at the desk to tell me the name of the game master she said names are confidential. Really? Since when is the game master’s name confidential? That was the response from the manager, Morgan. She and the game master, Allison, can benefit from basic customer service training.
The game was fun but the room was too dark to see some of the clues. Allison threatened us not to use the flashlight on our phones! Rude staff and even worse management. Don’t over pay this establishment to be treated disrespectfully. There are plenty of other escape rooms with staff who actually care about the customer experience.
Very disappointing. The game master, Allison, was rude. She made a point of yelling at us for touching items in the room before the video ended. We laughed it off because it was so ridiculous but then she proceeded to yell at us over the speaker several times and was not helpful when we asked for a clue. The manager, Morgan, was equally unprofessional. She completely dismissed my concerns regarding the rude treatment. Don’t waste your money at this location. There are plenty of escape rooms with staff who are helpful and actually care about the guest experience.

Hi Dawn,
We’re sorry to hear that your visit didn’t meet your expectations. After looking into your situation, it seems the main concern stemmed from our request that your group refrain from vaping inside our rooms. Our staff works hard to ensure that Escape Room Brighton is a safe, family-friendly, and enjoyable environment for everyone. For that reason, we ask all guests to follow a few simple rules—such as no smoking or vaping and no damaging property.
In this case, a member of your group was asked multiple times to stop vaping indoors, after attempting to conceal it from staff. At one point, smoke was blown directly into a camera, accompanied by a gesture. While our policies allow us to end games immediately in situations like this, we still allowed your team to finish the experience. We support the way our staff handled this situation, as they were acting in line with our policies and values.
Our staff’s actions were not meant to diminish your fun, but to uphold the standards that help keep Escape Room Brighton a positive place for all our guests. We appreciate your feedback and wish you the best in your future escape room adventures.

We have been to several different escape rooms in mid-michigan, and this place is one of the best. The puzzels are tricky, but make sense. Everything is well laid out. This is the second room we have done here and will be back again.

Thank you for your review DeAndrea. We are so glad you enjoyed our escape room a second time. Come back and play a third game with us soon!
We had an awesome time finding the Jade Skull! The room was very well designed with great puzzles and atmosphere. Our two hints were perfectly given, just enough information to guide us on the right path. Can't wait to go back and try another room!
