🏅 I cannot say enough great things about this moving company. We have used them twice now, and both experiences have been outstanding!
The first time, we had the huge task of moving our belongings out of three separate storage units, including a large 10x20 unit, a medium unit, and a smaller unit. We had an enormous amount of furniture and personal belongings to move into our new home, and the McClain Movers team handled everything with incredible care and professionalism.
They took the time to shrink-wrap and pad our valuable items at no additional charge, and they were extremely meticulous throughout the entire move. From the moment they arrived, everyone was respectful, professional, hardworking, and attentive.
They literally spent the entire day helping us move. As they brought items into the house, they continually checked with my wife and me to make sure everything was being placed exactly where we wanted it. We needed two moving trucks, and when I looked inside, I was honestly impressed. Everything was packed so strategically that it looked like a real-life game of Tetris! You could immediately tell that these guys knew exactly what they were doing.
Our second experience with McClain Movers came unexpectedly. After having flooring installed in our new home, the flooring company left behind a large amount of bulk trash that our regular trash company would not pick up. I contacted McClain Movers again, and they came through for us by offering to pick everything up and haul it away for a very reasonable minimum fee.
Another thing I really appreciate is their communication. Every time we have used them, they have kept us updated throughout the process, including sending pictures of the work and finished results and letting us know about any interruptions or lunch breaks. That communication gave me tremendous peace of mind, especially when I couldn't personally be at the location.
At this point, I know exactly who I'm calling whenever we need moving, hauling, or similar services again.
I also found out that McClain Movers has built such a strong reputation that a local storage company actually refers customers to them. After experiencing their service firsthand, I completely understand why.

Wow! From start to finish, Mr. McClain and his team were professional, considerate and accommodating. I recently moved and decided to downsize. I needed to have my entire house cleared, and I wasn’t taking any of the furniture with me. They filled TWO trucks IN THE RAIN and didn’t complain one time. The crew showed up on time, asked questions, did a walkthrough, took pictures and went to work! They had great communication amongst themselves in order to make sure that they stayed safe and prevented any damages to the walls and doors.Whenever there was a question about what to take, they took the time to check and confirm first. I cannot say enough good things about Envelop.
This was not a simple move. It was a multi-stage, multi-location logistics puzzle involving four separate locations: moving out of my temporary apartment, moving into my newly renovated home, moving items out of my POD, and moving items out of my shed. It began at 1:30 PM and they were still going strong until 7:30 PM.
From the very beginning, David, the owner, understood both the logistics and the magnitude of what I was trying to accomplish. He didn’t just see a bunch of furniture and boxes—he understood that there were multiple moving pieces (literally!) that had to happen in the right order for everything to come together.
And then there was Josh, who was absolutely terrific. He helped me keep track of the little things that are incredibly easy to forget in the chaos of moving. At one point, he reminded me that I needed to empty one of my dog’s shipped food boxes so I could get it into the freezer. Those little reminders mattered.
But what I appreciated most was that they didn’t treat this as simply a transaction. David listened as I made decisions about what should actually come into this new version of my home—and what no longer belonged there. He helped me purge things that no longer fit the current version of me or the home I had just created.
That meant a lot.
Moving after a major renovation, after living elsewhere for months, and trying to figure out what belongs in your new life is about so much more than transporting possessions. It can be overwhelming. Envelop brought competence, patience, flexibility, and genuine humanity to the process.
Six hours, four locations, countless decisions, and a whole lot of moving pieces later, I was home.
If you have a complicated move, I highly recommend Envelop. They didn’t just move my stuff. They helped me get home.

I needed to have a sofa and loveseat removed by Thursday, so I called on Tuesday afternoon. David and his colleague Josh came out the very next day, right within the two-hour timeframe I was given.
Both were very professional, courteous, and respectful of my home. They even offered to wear shoe booties to protect my carpet and were very careful while moving the furniture to make sure the walls and other areas weren’t damaged.
Their pricing was competitive and, in my opinion, possibly even a little better than other options I looked into. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely call them again when it’s time for my next move.
