For those of you who are looking for a no nonsense seafood platter. This is the place to be. Sometimes when you want a seafood platter it comes with pretentious ambience. This does not have that. As a matter of fact you can do some great people-watching.
There is not so much on the menu which is a green flag. I have been here 3 times already and it is always fresh even on Sundays.
A beautiful setting but, this night, the shellfish disappoints.
It appears to depend on what they decide to put on the platters. In our case the oysters were flat and without body, the prawns were quite dirty and the clams were inedible. The whelks were very good, the star of the show. Perhaps those who add the crab, we did not, get the better shellfish along with it. The staff were friendly and cheerful and the charcuterie being ordered by some near us looked terrific. We came for seafood though and ended up wishing we had gone elsewhere.
