We love grace music school! My 7 year old takes piano lessons with Shiori and really appreciate the level of detail, technique, and patience she has with him. Shiori challenges my son and provides great tips and pointers which motivates him to play better. I also appreciate that Shiori adapts to my son’s musical interest and energy and it shows during grace music school’s frequent music recitals which allows them to hone in on what they’ve learned. My son loves the recitals! Shiori and the rest of the teachers also provide ongoing feedback after class so my son knows what areas to focus and improve on. I also love that Shiori is open to pieces my child has expressed interest, and takes time to explain the methodology and especially proper forms and fingerings! Shiori was supportive in my son’s NYSSMA journey and also helped my son gain confidence in his pieces which allowed him to perform very well. Thank you! Overall, I’m impressed with all of the teachers for fostering musical growth in a nurturing environment. Kudos to the front desk as well (super friendly!). Highly recommend Grace music school.

Patricia Benstock is an experienced and outstanding string teacher. I asked my son, Jordan, what makes her so different from other viola teachers he’s previously had. He said she’s extremely knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. He told me she has high expectations, but she is also very supportive and encouraging. For the past two years Patricia has so thoroughly prepared my son for his challenging level 6 NYSSMA solos that he walked into the audition room with confidence and earned a perfect score of 100 both times. I highly recommend Patricia and Grace Music School!

My son loves his piano lessons at Grace Music School (Woodbury). He’s been taking piano lessons weekly since he was 5 years old. Through the music school’s piano curriculum and his own recital song choices, he’s steadily gaining excellent progress. He is lucky to be taking piano lessons with the wonderful Cameron Keym, who is moving him along well in his piano skills. Cameron also very successfully worked as Team Awesome with Christopher, getting him ready to perform requested songs Christopher’s family members chose for several of his piano recital performances. His previous teacher Miss Kelly had been with him for several years at Grace Music School. Miss Kelly is warm, positive, patient and talented. She often composes her own versions of my son’s piano recital song choices. This is done well to shorten certain songs, making it more accessible for my son to learn, while still keeping the core aspects of the song. It’s awesome that Grace Music School provides opportunities for the music students to perform on a big stage in the summer, and in a more intimate setting a few times a year. We love watching our son proudly perform on the big piano, especially as he’s still relatively young at age 9. It’s quite the experience ;) and also fun to watch the other music students perform.

My child has been learning piano at GMS for three years and has received full score or close to full score at NYSSMA and Royal Conservatory Exam which I'll say the teacher at GMS is a very important factor to the good result. The front desk and administrative staff are also welcoming. Reasonable make up policy and they are very accommodating in terms of rescheduling makeup class. My child recently needs the studio space for a remote exam purpose, and we are able to work it out with GMS. My child always looks forward to his weekly lessons. As a parent, I like their teachers personalize the lesson to the student's needs. Also, I like his piano teacher being strict while having kindness and a sense of humor, which are hard to balance but a good motivation for my child to improve. The school also provides multiple recital opportunities over the year - this is very good experiences for children at a young age to get used to be on stage and performing in front of audience. Update: My child has been taking private lessons at GMS since 2020. We love the school! A shout-out to his piano teacher Mate, Clarinet teacher Michael A., and Cello teacher Shiori.

I’ve had a really great experience with this music school. From the very first lesson, the Sara was welcoming, patient, and genuinely invested in helping students improve at their own pace. They strike a nice balance between technique and creativity. The environment is encouraging and low-pressure, which makes it easy to stay motivated week after week. Sara is highly knowledgeable and her approach to teaching our son as a complete beginner was excellent. Scheduling is flexible, communication is clear, and the overall organization of the school makes everything run smoothly. You can tell they care about their students’ progress and long-term growth. Overall, I’d highly recommend this music school to anyone looking to learn in a supportive, professional, and inspiring environment.

My son has been taking violin lessons with Patricia at Grace Music Woodbury for almost two years, and the experience has been wonderful. She is a highly experienced musician she has helped him move beyond basic practice to find a real passion for the instrument. She blends technical skill with music history and shows him how to bring true artistry to his playing. It’s turned his lessons into a source of genuine enjoyment which is exactly the development we were looking for. Highly recommended!

My son and daughter have been attending Grace music school for more than 3 years. My son loves his classes with Sam Tesch and his skill level has increased a lot the last couple years. My daughter is taking voice lessons with Ms Caitlyn and my daughter is always excited to learn new songs to sing from her. We highly recommend this place and my kids will attend Grace for a while!!

My daughters have been taking piano lessons at Grace Music School for few years now.Both of them love this school and their teachers.They have made a huge progress over the years. Ms Shiori Chazino is wonderful! My daughter is always so exited about her piano class! Ms.Shiori has been our teacher for the last 4 years and we are lucky to have her! Ms.Irene Noel is a lovely young teacher.My teenage daughter really loves her and feels very comfortable with her.Both teachers are very friendly and encouraging. Love our GMS!
