Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts—we truly appreciate it. Our whole team reads every review, and I really love the thoughtfulness behind your message.

I completely agree that titles and names should reflect personal preference, not hierarchy, and that’s actually how we approach it at Elliston Pediatrics. After 20 years as a nurse, I’ve worked with nurses who prefer to be called by their last name and doctors who prefer to go by their first. In our practice, we prioritize personal choice.

Right now, our three female doctors and one male doctor all prefer to use their last names. I go by my first name, and so does Nurse Laura—that’s just the current makeup of our team. As we grow, that could evolve, and we welcome it.

We don’t believe it’s the role of ownership to assign how anyone should be addressed. If a future doctor wants to be called by their first name, or a nurse by their last, we’ll wholeheartedly support that.

And I love that you discovered us at an MRI office—what a small world! We hope you’re doing well and thank you again for your thoughtful suggestion.
