This was our 2nd visit to Adrian’s cottage. Easy to find, perfectly located near the main road to Pickering/Whitby, yet is still very quiet and peaceful. Easy check in via lock box and dedicated parking space. Very clean, comfortable and spacious cottage, and tastefully decorated. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need for basic cooking/dining. WiFi is good enough for browsing or watching YouTube etc, but would struggle with any live streaming etc. TV and DVD player in both the living room and bedroom. Comfortable bed, decent electric shower over bath. Will definitely book again if we return to the area

Great stay and sitting room Lucy bigger than expected with well equipped kitchen with everything you’d need. Very comfortable beds and everywhere v clean and tidy. Thank you for keeping such a lovely place. Hopefully he back with the family in not too long!

Lovely stay at the Sleepy Fox. Perfect for exploring the area. Dalby Forest was great for running and walking, pub next door was ideal and food was lovely. The cake on arrival was much appreciated too! Thank you!

Lovely cosy comfortable cottage, ideal for visiting Dalby Forest. A Public footpath from the side of the Rabbit & Fox Inn takes you directly into the forest, which is obviously a little steep in places. Adrain was very welcoming and we would definitely recommend staying in Sleepy Fox Cottage.

Absolutely wonderful couple of days the place was spotless and in a perfect location.Loved the piece and quiet just what was needed only down side was we wish we could have stayed longer but a perfect excuse to book again ☺️

Stayed in sleepy fox and was delighted with it.Beautiful inside and out, pub was a god send after a day out and about, to be able to wander into there for a meal and a drink.( book in advance gets very busy)fox and rabbit pubAdrian was such a lovely man,he had a lot on when we stayed but always had time for a chat with us.We would definitely stay here again, but we would stay in one of the other cottages that had direct access to the enclosed gardens as sleepy fox doesn’t. It wasn’t a problem but would have been nice to open the door for the dog to go in and out as he pleased.Oh and Adrian had even left a lovely cake and milk for our arrival which was a lovely touch.You won’t be disappointed with these cottages they are stunning

We had a lovely stay at Sleepy Fox. It was the perfect setting for our time in Yorkshire. The accommodation is lovely and Adrian was on hand if we needed him. We were so pleased with the cottage and its facilities and if the opportunity arose - we would definitely come back. Thank you Adrian.

Our 3rd visit to fox and rabbit cottages. Always a pleasure, Adrian is a great host and so personable. All the facilities you need to make your stay comfortable. 30 minute drive to Whitby, 4 miles to Pickering centre, 5 minutes from Dalby Forest and the Fox & Rabbit pub is 100yard walk from the front door and the food is great.We will be back again in the new year!

Just back from staying in the lovely sleepy fox cottage and wow it didn’t disappoint! The cottage was so cozy and everything at hand that we needed for our quiet stay. Aidrian himself come to see we were ok on our second day and was very kind and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back for sure! Thank you so much

Adrian is an amazing host and he was very lovely. We had a problem with a sink plug and he came over and made a temporary repair and then got a plumber in to sort it out. He knows lots of people locally and is happy to recommend places to visit and eat. The cottages are pretty and cosy. They have everything you need for a pleasant stay. Locally everyone is very friendly and the villages and countryside are picturesque.There is a thick book of information on things to do and the cottages are well equipped.Many Thanks for a lovely stay and being so helpful and friendly, its very much appreciated.
