From my very first point of contact which was a virtual consultation, I was treated with kindness, respect, and professionalism. The entire team made me feel extremely comfortable, and I honestly felt like I had known them for years. My experience continued to be just as positive during my in person visits, every staff member was friendly, welcoming, and respectful. They took time to listen to what I wanted, provided their professional recommendations, clearly explained expectations, outlined next steps, and answered all of my questions. I always knew what to expect throughout the entire process which gave me a great deal of confidence and peace of mind. The office itself was spotless, well-maintained, and always smelled wonderful. The staff was consistently pleasant and helpful, including assisting me with all of the documentation required for my job. My post operative appointments went just as smoothly again, knowing what to expect, and I was treated with the same kindness, respect, and professionalism that I experienced from day one. My surgery went well and recovery did as well. I am happy with the results so far. I am extremely pleased with my experience and highly recommend this practice to anyone considering the procedures they offer. The care, communication, and support I received exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to choose Dr. Robbins and team at Des Moines Plastic Surgery.

(I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SURGEON!!!!) I am beyond disappointed with this surgeon and the entire experience. When I was younger, I was deeply insecure about my body, and I always dreamed of having a figure that gave me confidence. About a year ago, I trusted this surgeon to help me, but now I am more insecure than ever. My results are nothing like I expected. There’s still a lump, it’s flat, and far smaller than promised. Even worse, I still have pain every night when I try to sleep. After the procedure, I expressed my concerns, and they told me to be patient and that over time the results would improve. But time passed, and nothing got better. After doing everything by the book and following all aftercare instructions, I still have minimal results. This has been a complete waste of time, money, and hope. I do not recommend this surgeon. If you care about your body and well-being, please stay away. Side note: When I first posted my review, I was asked to take it down. I did not feel it was appropriate for a family member to be contacted regarding my review. I believe communication about my care and feedback should be handled directly and professionally.

I am triying to keep this short and to the point, as I have spent enough of my time recovering from Dr. Robbins. In August 2025, I paid him to preform an abdominoplasty. Which lead to multiple visits. This included stitches, cauterization and two more times under his knife and 6 courses of antibiotics. Treatment during surgery was as barbaric as it could have gotten. I could FEEL him cutting my insides. Had to actually yell at him to stop touching me and numb me. His response "I don't know why this is hurting" this was also a response while getting stiches while I was crying. While under his care I recived Pseudomonas Aeruginosa and Ecoli. Resulting in an open wound. (Pictures Below) Overall I felt unseen, unheard and frankly abused.

Had my cyst / lesion removed today and I was nervous at first but the team at Des Moines Plastic Surgery kept me calm through the process. I was in and out within 30 mins! I would highly recommend this place because the staff if nice and the Dr. David Robbin’s is very knowledgeable in his work. I hope I don’t have to come back anytime soon besides a follow up but if I do have any work done in the future I will be back here!

I have been a client of Dr. Dave Robbins at Des Moines Plastic Surgery Center since 2011 and have had several procedures over the years. Each time the results have been beautiful, natural, and never overdone. Yes, he is quadruple board certified, but what matters most to me is his depth of experience. I know so many people that have had things done by him and are always so happy with the outcome! Most recently I had two procedures. I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty due to genetically hooded eyes, and the results look incredibly natural! I still look like myself, just more refreshed and not overdone! After 36 years with silicone implants, I knew I was overdue to remove them. Dr. Robbins carefully explained every option including explanting, replacing, or lifting, and recommended a conservative staged approach focused on safety. As it turns out one was ruptured and the mamogram I had the previous week didn't catch it! I am just so happy to have them out and not worry about it any more! The staff is always amazing, kind, and knowledgeable. It is also the only place I have ever had surgery where I was not sick from anesthesia, which was a huge bonus. He has built my trust over the years, so much so that I trusted him to treat two of my children! (stitches and scar revisions)10/10 RECOMMEND!!!
