Dr. Anthony Savage and Laurie Thompson were phenomenal — knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring. They took real time to explain my treatment plan in a way that actually made sense.
For the first time I can remember, I didn’t feel rushed at all — and it didn’t feel like they were rushing either. That alone meant a lot to me. Grateful to God I ended up here. Highly recommend.

We absolutely love SS&V Orthodontics. From the second you are greeted by Laurie with her warmth, enthusiasm and professionalism you will know you’re in the best office for your child. Dr. Visser is gifted with an incredible bedside manner in addition to being an expert in his craft. The entire team is perfection. We could not be happier!

I've never been happier with my smile! From day one, the entire experience was incredible. The team here made every appointment something to look forward to. Everyone was so genuinely nice, and so much fun to be around. Their energy and humor really made each visit a fun time. If you are looking for any dental work, I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

I had my braces done 1979 and they gave me the best crest smile ever! I have perfect teeth & still do! At the age of 58 my teeth are still unbelievably perfect. Ol' Man Visser was such a sweet man. I still get compliments daily on my smile. I had buck teeth over an inch!

Hands down, the best orthodontic office I’ve ever been to. Dr Savage is amazing!!! I first brought my older son here for braces, and a few weeks later I decided to get mine done too. My overbite was pretty bad and I had some misaligned teeth, so I was nervous but they made the whole process so easy. They took exceptional care of my son and gave me the same level of attention. The entire staff is genuinely personable, and the doctors are really in tune with their patients. If you have an issue, they get you in quickly and fix it without making you feel like a burden. You can tell they take real pride in their work and in the way they treat people.
Getting both my son’s braces and mine done here was honestly one of the best decisions I’ve made. They go above and beyond, and it shows in every interaction.

We love when we hear back from our amazing patients telling us ways in which they feel special and taken care of. While it's certainly about straightening teeth, we believe it is way more than that. It's about making sure the patient is getting the best service both from an orthodontic standpoint and a personal one.
Wonderful experience with Dr. Savage and the entire team at Strawbridge! I originally came here a few years ago for braces, and the results were amazing, they gave me the perfect smile. Three years later, I returned to have my plastic retainer fixed, and once again, the staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and efficient. Truly the best team!

The front desk lady at the Kempsville location was so rude, I had to cancel both my kids appointments, I do self-pay, will take my money somewhere else.

Sabrina we so appreciate the very kind words and sharing that we have been your orthodontist since childhood. We do have patients who over the years come back to get evaluated if there has been any shifting or dental changes. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Savage and his entire team! They are incredibly kind, personable, and truly go above and beyond to make every visit a great experience. Communication is always clear and thoughtful, and the whole team is friendly, professional, and welcoming.
One of the things I appreciated most was how Dr. Savage made sure my Invisalign treatment stayed perfectly on track so I could have my aligners off in time for my wedding. I had a fantastic experience getting my braces at this orthodontic clinic! Dr. Savage, Dr. Sabol, and Dr. Visser are all amazing—skilled, professional, and genuinely caring. They made every visit comfortable and took the time to explain each step of the process.
Now that my treatment is complete, I’m absolutely thrilled with the results—my teeth look beautiful! I’m so grateful for the care I received and highly recommend this clinic to anyone considering orthodontic treatment.

Thankful I found this dentist. Dr. Savage took the time and listened to my situation regarding TMJ. This has been extremely hard to find in the Virginia Beach area. I now feel more confident that we can make my TMJ extremely manageable!

I had my braces put on yesterday and the whole experience was amazing. From the moment I walked in, the team was warm, professional, and made me feel completely at ease. Dr. Savage who did my consultation and braces was kind, patient, and treated me like family. That personal touch really meant a lot. The atmosphere was so welcoming, and the customer service was top notch. I’m genuinely glad I chose this practice!
