I have nearly hit 3000 miles on my 2015 VW GTI and i wanted to make certain that i was giving an honest review of my expereince not just inside of the dealershio but also in my new (to me) car. Inside the dealership, I was greeted warmly by Casey and was shown around a very clean car that was priced quite fair for the age, and history of the car. I had called ahead to make sure the car was available to test drive and it was waiting for us to go out and test drive before i got there (they only had 10 minutes from the time i had called) we went on a test drive and though I may have pushed the car a bit on the drive, Casey was a trooper and hung in there with me. I was able to get about 6% off the list price of the car due to me paying cash and also an issue with the rear hatch being misaligned. Everything was completely fair and very quick. I had my husband check over the car and they had no issues with us entering the lot after hours to check on it. The next day I confirmed that I'd be coming to pick up the car and even though I came while another customer was there with Casey we were both handled in a timely fashion and were both attended to by the entire VW Dreyer and Reinbold staff. They made buying a car such a smooth and painless process. I signed my dealership papers at the BMW dealership and within an hour, I was out the door with both keys to my car. 10/10 dealership expereince and thank you so much to Casey for being a fantastic salesman. I will definitely be back to buy another one in a couple years! Now for the review of the car- The car was very clean and after a more thorough inspection it became more clear that the Dreyer and Reinbold team made a quite dirty car, nearly immaculate to be sold. Kudos to them on that. They also put 4 new tires and 1 new wheel on the car before it was sold, which I don't think I've experienced before in the past. I was given the Carfax report which showed everything they did to it before it was out up for sale and I haven't given a full check over everything on that list but so far I haven't had any major issues that would lead me to believe their technician didnt do the work reported. There were two very small issues that I have fixed since having the car and we'll get into those now- First, on day one after getting home I took it for a drive with my husband. As any young woman who just bought her very first "fast" car does, I drove it like a fast car to show off how good I did to my husband. The turbo built and then we heard and pop and the ECS light came on the dash. We tried to read it with our scanner, but unfortunately my car speaks German and the scanner only speaks English, so we couldn't see what exactly this code was for... so a new one that speaks VW German was purchased but ended up not being needed when we found the blow off tube after the turbo had simply not been tightened down fully and... well...blew off when the turbo went into boost so quickly. We seated back in, and badaboom badabing... we are back in business! Issues #2- for whatever reason after driving the car consistently up at operating temperature, and then shutting it off- say to go to the grocery store- would result in the car not wanting to start. I'd turn the key over and it would sit there and crank, but it would take a couple of tries to actually get it to come up. This happened a handful or so of times, but I last week it stopped doing it. Now, the car came to me with a full tank of gas (which was absolutely killer btw!) But I do believe after it disappeared rather miraculously, I have determined that perhaps whoever owned it last had been using regular 87, instead of the recommended 93 octane fuel. After a couple fill ups, it hasn't had any issues. Now, 1 vacation to South Carolina and back, she sits out front still pretty as can be drive like a dream, the whole trip!

Scott was great! I absolutely hate buying cars and going to the dentist. Scott made the process a little more tolerable. They did not push me to buy the car. They did not force me to buy any add-ons. They gave a great deal on my trade-in and a good deal on my purchase, while always treating me respectfully. If they had or have another car, I want to buy in the future; I will certainly use them again. In fact, I will start my vechile search here first.

The service staff was exceptional. The two gentlemen were kind, very personable and fun. They even arranged for my dirty car to be vacuumed and said it is part of thei VW service at no charge!!!! Both of these gentleman make you want to buy another new Volkswagen just to bring it back for an oil change and service work. The ladies were very nice and sweet as well. Went in to test drive a 2025 Jetta. Chad was friendly and got me the test drive on 12/30/25. Went back on 12/31/25 to buy the car and Chad and Scott were great in making it happen.

I used the internet sales to find our new car. It was very easy. They even had an appointment for us to test drive a car. The model did not exactly fit our needs and when we tried the second model it was what we wanted. There was not pressure like a traditional going to a lot has. That stresses me to the point of being anxious. But their internet sales team and onsite sales rep were unbelievable. 10 out of 10 experience. If you want to be treated like family this is the place to buy a car!!

I had to get a new key everyone was so nice and so was waiting on my car to get done so I asked the address was so I could order food they said we will order u an Uber to take u anywhere then you call us when ur ready and we will order somebody to pick you up

Great communications, service took a little longer than I anticipated but I was given a loaner car which worked out perfectly for me. Jacob, my service manager was excellent. He answered all my questions and made sure I was taken care of.

It has been over 8yrs since your 17yo VW was last serviced here. Our complimentary Multi-Point Inspection did uncover a few things which, when added to the soaked headliner, carpet and padding from the failed sunroof drains, made for quite an estimate. Obviously, it’s your choice whether to perform any of those repairs or not. Understandably, the mileage of your vehicle does affect that decision. Thank you for visiting Dreyer & Reinbold Volkswagen.

I took my vehicle in for a recall. That didn’t even fix the recall. Then tried to tell me there was wiring that was tampered with along with my front suspension needing repair. There was nothing wrong with my suspension when I took it in to turn but when I got it back it makes a clunking noise. They called me to confirm a diagnosis about the wiring problem & told me to fix everything including the suspension would be $2,000. I told them to stop. I asked if they could return my car & they said they couldn’t return it for another two days. Plus they would charge me a fee for that. I went to pick up my vehicle that evening & found it covered in dirt like it had been sitting outside for while. There was some weird piece of red cloth stuck in the crevice between my headlight & hood as well. It’s probably the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I’m at a total loss as to how companies treat their customers these days. It’s laughable & a shame that customer service has taken such a dive. I will never go back

Hey Nickolaus,

We’re sorry about the confusion over the delivery fee on your 2014 Passat. Since this is the first time we have ever seen your car, we didn’t have any history to go on. As for the airbag, we are happy to double-check our work at no charge. It is possible that we caused the communication fault with your airbag module if we didn’t get it plugged in correctly. If that’s the case, we would correct that at no cost to you.

As far as the worn suspension components go, the good news is none of those have worn to the point of breakage; they are just loose, and the grease-retaining boots are torn. This allows water and road grit to enter the joints and the grease to fling out as you drive, accelerating the wear. Your steering and axle joints will not last long with those seals torn.

We are a busy service shop; we do allow customers' vehicles to sit outside while they are awaiting service or pickup. If you choose to bring your Passat back in for us to look at the airbag connector, we will be happy to have our wash crew hand-wash it and give it a vacuum while it’s here.
