. This review is based on a deeply disappointing experience during a medical emergency.
I contacted Dr. Deepesh Kalra when my husband was in severe, unbearable pain due to a kidney stone and fever due to infection, which cannot be ignored. The clinic was listed as open, and I reached out with urgency, expecting at least basic guidance or support. Despite clearly explaining the situation and insisting on the intensity of the pain, I was simply told to visit the next day.
In a profession where timing can directly affect a patient’s suffering, this kind of response is extremely disheartening. We grow up believing that doctors are next to God because of their compassion and willingness to help in critical moments. Unfortunately, experiences like this make that belief difficult to hold on to.
Thankfully, we chose to consult Dr Sandeep Nunia immediately, and it turned out to be a serious case of acute appendix. It was treated in time, preventing further complications. This only highlights how critical timely attention and medical judgment are in emergency situations.
Medical knowledge alone is not enough—empathy and responsiveness are equally important. Ignoring a patient in distress is not just unprofessional, it is inhumane. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through such helplessness in an emergency situation.
