Turned into the road this place is on as I had taken a wrong turn, to be met by a old woman shaking her head then having a go at me because apparently I am not allowed to turn my car in the road! Just as well I wasn't dropping my dogs off with her. Probably the most unfriendly person I've ever met. You'd have thought I had done a handbrake turn in her road!! I say avoid at all costs , unfriendly unprofessional and actually rude. A nice day out at the nearby Japanese garden spoilt by some grumpy old woman. Maybe she only like dogs... UPDATE on my review as the owner has replied to say it's not really a review of the facilities.... YES YOU ARE CORRECT , BUT FIRST INPRESSIONS ARE WHAT WHAT MY REVIEW IS BASED ON, had I been turning and then getting out to drop of my dogs or mearly ask you about the facilities, your unfriendly attitude would be enough for me not to recommend anyone visiting at all and that us exactly why my review has been posted . It costs nothing to be polite , in fact it would be better for your business if you were.

Took our dog to meet two of his brothers and their families a while back. We arrived last to hear the owner had been rude to the families who turned up first. The field is nothing special, nothing for dogs to do apart from run around. Been to plenty other dog parks with agility areas, tires, sand pits etc.
Not the first time I've heard about the attitude of the owner, wont be back.
Yes you don't have my name registered as it was one of the other dog owners who booked it.

My Labrador has been going to mutts of muckhart since he was a puppy at the puppy open days. He loves going there, pulls me down the path so he can get into the field. I was there on Sunday 24.03.24 at a barn hunt with my reactive mix breed , which was good fun to learn and to get my mixed breed used to different situations as he is wary of strange things. We got to use the dog field for free when dogs weren’t doing their barn hunt . Thank to Jane for arranging the barn hunt

Not the best start on arrival for a "barn hunt." Clearly no idea how to deal with paying customers. No welcoming hello or interest in ours or others dogs names. Basically got a list of rules or else thrown at you without even a smile. The barn hunt was in a tiny 10 foot square area with a few hay bales. Each hunt was over in less than 3 minutes. I worked out that each hunt was around £7 based on the £45 fee. Left feeling ripped off so won't be back any time soon. I see from previous reviews I'm not the only one who thinks the owner is rude. Go somewhere where you'll feel welcomed.

Thank you for your feedback re “Barn Hunt” a franchised, new to Scotland dog sport which was held at Mutts. As with any dog sport/event rules and guidance are there for everyone’s safety and enjoyment. It’s unfortunate you didn’t enjoy the workshop but hopefully your dog had a good experience learning how to scent for the rats and work the novice course.

This is the perfect place to exercise your dog in total safety. If you are unsure of the dog's recall reliability or how they react with other dogs, book a session here. Your dog can run free. Our dog loves it.

Best secure field we've found in Scotland....loads of fab sniffing and scenting areas for spaniels, tons of space, well fenced and clean....brilliant!
