Dean patiently listened to our sometimes vague design ideas for a shed storage solution with the potential to transition into a working space and/or sleepout. He gave us a feasible plan for this and an added bonus of a roof over our entranceway. He considered our budget and helped us rejig our plans to keep within budget when needed. We were impressed by Dean and his teams work ethic at times putting in long days to get ahead of the rain (middle of winter) to ensure they could meet timelines given to the best of their ability. Wow! What an experience! Going into this renovation, we were apprehensive. We had heard horror stories about builders not fulfilling their duties and leaving clients with hefty bills well over their estimates.
This was NOT the case with Dean and the DLJ team! The initial meeting put us at ease straight away. Dean met us at home with a warm greeting and expert knowledge of what was realistic in our dreams. The fine art of keeping the client happy while juggling everything that comes up during a building project is a skill Dean and DLJ has honed. His problem solving made the stressful times a walk in the park, and his attention to detail brought the project to a seamless conclusion.
We could not recommend DLJ more highly. If we go down this road again, I'm not looking anywhere else.

We had Dean and DLJ Builders put in a bi-fold window and a few other things when we first moved into our new home. We absolutely love it! all! Dean and his team were so easy to work with, he was great at communicating with us about the job and letting us know exactly what was going on. He worked fast but with a high level of attention to detail, which created an amazing finished product. We couldn't be happier with his service. Would highly recommend.

We engaged Dean and his team as he was professional, courteous and engaged with me as the primary client, not just my husband. We were able to problem-solve surprises within the renovation and he understood ‘details matter’. A great communicator, I always knew where we were in the process.
