Fantastische duikschool op Bonaire Wat een geweldige duikschool op dushi Bonaire. Op de eerste dag 2 kantduiken gedaan vanaf de lokatie Delphins Beach met Niels. We hebben gedoken bij “The lake” en “Angel city”. Fantastisch al ben ik meer een bootduiker. Op de tweede dag 2 bootduiken gemaakt met Denise, Roan en Roan. We hebben gedoken bij “Hand off” en “ Barcadera” waar DOLFIJNEN zaten. Helaas heb ik alleen schaduwen gezien maar dat telt ook vind ik. Op de derde dag begon het echte werk! RESCUE cursus met instructeur Koa (heel relaxt, zeer goede instructeur) en Bella (slachtoffer, buddy, paniekzaaier, DM in opleiding, enz, enz). Heel leerzame leuke dag met veel nieuwe inzichten! Op de vierde dag weer rescue cursus met Koa maar vandaag als DM in opleiding Lea. Ook een superieure actrice in de slachtofferrol met Limburgse roots hetgeen natuurlijk altijd een pluspunt is 🙈 Na de middag als scenario’s “vermiste duiker” en “bewusteloze duiker onderwater, rescueoefening nummer 7, uit het water halen op de rug, gevolgd door hartmassage en toediening van zuurstof aan het slachtoffer”. Gelukkig, dankzij de goede opleiding, alles met goed gevolg afgelegd en dus GESLAAGD 🥳 Als toetje op deze dag heeft Koa mij nog aangemeld als “Master Scuba Diver” bij PADI omdat ik inmiddels aan alle voorwaarden voldeed. MASHA DANKI 🤙🏻 Op de vijfde dag als afronding nog 2 bootduiken gedaan op de KONTENTU met Tessa en Agaath op de duikstekken “Bon bini na kas” en “Leonora’s reef”. Wederom fantastisch! Helaas op de zesde dag niet kunnen duiken omdat ik helaas verkouden was geworden 🥲 Op de zevende dag mijn eigen gear gaan ophalen bij Port Bonaire waar Tilly (Mathilda) zeer behulpzaam was. Dive friends Bonaire Great diving but the dive guide really rushed us and called each dive super early despite us being on Nitrox and having over 100 bar each left . Overall great place to dive just a shame about the guide who seemed to have another appointment

Best scuba diving After much research, we discovered Bonaire was a great place for scuba diving. Dive friends Bonaire is literally next door to Delfins resort (can’t get any more convenient than that) and the staff was so genuine and helpful at the dive shop. Daniel helped with all the booking and set us up in the classroom for our nitrox certification. He was very friendly and personable. Chandra was our dive master and so so good! She was very knowledgeable, patient, kind… raving reviews! 5/5 would recommend

Excellent Certification Experience with DFB @ Yellow Sub. We enjoyed getting our PADI Open Water Certification with Dive Friends Bonaire @ Yellow Submarine. Gareth is an excellent instructor, and Joel was super helpful throughout the entire process. I felt I was always in good hands and appreciated their attentiveness, patience, and thorough guidance. The Yellow Sub. reef was a great place to learn - warm, calm waters and plenty of beautiful fish and corals to see on your open dives. I would absolutely recommend this shop if you plan to get certified on Bonaire.

Great Dive Shop I am just finishing a week long scuba vacation to Bonaire. I had a great experience using the Dive Friends dive shop. Before I did my first dive I took an advanced dive course with them and my instructor Eddy was superb. I have taken a lot of dive classes at a lot of shops around the world and Eddy is an incredibly good instructor. Then, in my diving around the island for a week I ended up visiting 4 of the Dive Friends locations for rental gear and gear purchases. The following people were friendly, knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service: Andy, Luke and Lars. Thank you Dive Friends for making my Bonaire vacation so fun!! I will be back...

Everyone here was so knowledgeable and helpful and very willing to explain basics without a hint of condescension. We're snorkelers and I felt extremely welcomed here among advanced divers. We went back twice, two different days, some different staff but same great help both days. My aunt bought her underwater camera here and they sat down and explained everything to help her make her decision. I bought a Spacefish Army top and headband after trying on a few different styles and patterns to make sure I got what I really wanted and I love it! They also have nice t-shirts that go towards conservation efforts and really everything you could want or need for snorkeling/diving. We also saw lots of people come in for troubleshooting help with gear. If you love the ocean, I highly recommend checking this place out!

Dive Friends Bonaire.......... what a team! What an amazing team! Shops have good communication with each other to ensure you get what you need when you need it. Dive guides all knowledgeable about the local dive sites, fun, friendly and up beat but VERY professional. Special shout out to Davina ( Hamlet... hope I spell correctly!) Gareth, Ilse, Denise, Kim, Shondra, Lars, Koa and Jason. Rented equipment, did a few guided shore dives and a ton of boat dives. Rented unlimited tanks for independent shore diving and got great info about conditions, tips and tricks of various dives sites. Will be my first call when I go back.... they helped make my trip go from good to fabulous. Thank you!!

My experience wasn't that great. Went to the location near the moorings. I Had to try to sort thru their tanks finding two out of a dozen that were acceptable one full and the other 2500 - which was better then the other ten. Ended up finding a dive instructor who furnished everything & brought it to the boat for the dive.

Amazing experience We completed a three day course (with an e-learning in advance) to obtain our PADI. Special thanks to our teacher Koa: he takes teaching very seriously, is a perfectionist when we have to carry out the assignments and explains everything in a good and understandable way. With here and there a dose of humor which makes it a very pleasant way of learning. We can tell that we really see that you enjoy the work you do. We enjoyed our course! Yellow Submarine PADI Certification - Ask for Andy I completed my PADI certification at the Yellow Submarine location just yesterday. There is only one word to describe my overall experience: mesmerizing. Andy, my divemaster, was a huge part of this experience. Originally, I was planning on getting my certification at the Delfins Resort location since I was staying at the resort and prioritized convenience. I could not be more grateful for the fact that the course was full and I had to go to a different location. Where to start; during the first day, in my “confined water” course, I saw two water turtles, an octopus and a crab. The experience and scenery was so good that my girlfriend thought I was lying. At Yellow Submarine, the confined water course is performed in the sea (at a confined place), while at the Delfins location it is performed in the pool. I am sure my fellow divers at the Delfins location also had a blast on their first day staring at the pool floor tiles! I might be spoiled and lucky that during my certification I was the only person at the Yellow Submarine location and ended up having a PRIVATE certification with Andy - an extra reason why you should consider this location even if you are staying at a resort. Anyway, Andy was instrumental in helping me understand and control my buoyancy, showing me how to breath to control my lungs, communicating constantly underwater until I started becoming aware of how to control my body. I assume the majority, if not all, of new divers struggle controlling their buoyancy bouncing up and down as they breathe. During the first day I really struggled and thought I would not be able to maintain that zen-like control Andy had. I was amazed that by the end of the course I didn’t even realized I was hovering right above the sea floor without consciously having to control my breath. Last but not least, the scenery throughout the courses was great. I may not have been lucky enough to see another sea turtle on Day 2 and Day 3, but Andy made sure we explored everything at the coral reef. From queen and french angelfish, to spotted drum, parrotfish,wrasse, shrimps, eels, fairy basslet, trunkfish, porcupinefish, etc. My humble recommendation, even if you stay at a resort, try to get your certification at the Yellow submarine location. Andy and the rest of the team are more than worthy the few extra miles. The experience will be unforgettable. PS: Andy - I can't thank you enough for the amazing introduction into the scuba diving world. I'm looking forward diving with you again!

Dive Friends is the only dive buddy you will ever need. They got us in right away for a quick refresher and then into that salty shore diving so we could live our best mermaid lives. Our guide and instructor extraordinaire: Mona, was top of the line - 10/10 would learn from her again. She even came to lead us on our boat dive. What a great dive friend. You got questions about the fish you saw? Mona's got a book about it. You need more weight because you haven't dove in 5 years and gained some fat and now you can't sink like you used to? Mona's got you covered. Need a fun group photo? Mona's got her smile ready. Let me list some other reasons they should be your dive shop of choice: 1. Friendly and helpful service 2. Knowledgeable divers who care about that same stuff you care about 3. I had a leaky hose and these ppl fixed me right up with some tools to get me back in the water faster than a fleeing flying fish. Advanced Diving course Bonaire 2/2924 We just completed the advanced diver certification with Davida, Stephen and Jack. They were very professional and experienced dive masters. They did a great job with teaching and explaining all the key points and were great divers. I would highly recommend them I must also give a shout out to Mira who helped structure all the dives. They were very accommodating with planning the 5 dives. I also have to thank Davida Davida Davida Davida for rescuing me when I went out of the confined space during my check out dive. I also have to thank Andy Andy Andy Andy with his help in switching out my regulator when it was leaking Thank you all so much for a great experience and we learned so much
