I would give Dr. Johnson and Direct Pediatrics more than 5 stars! Dr. Johnson has been my granddaughter’s pediatrician since she was born and always gave her excellent medical care. Since we’ve moved to Direct Pediatrics he is now able to address both her medical needs as well as help provide a treatment plan for her ADHD and anxiety. It has made a huge difference in her life. My granddaughter is 10 and she gets advice and guidance to handle difficult situations such as peer pressure, bullying and other difficult situations. If she has a medical issue, she’s seen immediately and often takes needed medication home when we leave the office. We’ve seen Dr. Stewart as well and he is great. Shout out also to the entire staff at Direct Pediatrics as they are all caring and attentive!!

We absolutely love Dr. Johnson. Since joining the practice, we have already had multiple things addressed that we never would have gone to our doctor about or urgent care. We discovered Dr. Johnson after moving to Louisville this past summer. My 10-year-old son struggled immensely with our move and was dealing with some mental health issues. The first pediatrician we went to did not feel she was well equipped to address our concerns. She recommended Dr. Johnson, as he was a child psychologist prior to getting his MD. I was a little hesitant at first, as we have always used a traditional medical office that billed insurance.
After our first visit with Dr Johnson, I was sold. He seemed to understand my son immediately, and had great advice that we could actually use and implement. His model of practice has allowed us all the time we need to discuss the issues at hand, and figure out reasonable plans. My appoints have always been at least an hour, I schedule same day every time, and I never feel rushed.
Dr Johnson is also just a great pediatrician. He knows how to talk to kids, is up to date with practices, keeps his clientele informed on illnesses going around. As another medical professional myself, I am truly impressed.
I can’t recommend him enough! We started here because my son needed more from a pediatrician, and quickly enrolled our two other children who have less needs. Dr Johnson is incredible, and the payment model just makes more sense! If you are looking for a more intimate and accessible pediatrician, look no farther!
