I've worked with Different Travel for 5 years now as part of the charity I work at, and I can't fault a thing! The whole team are amazing both pre, during and post-event for their customer service and support they give not only us as a charity, but to our charity trekkers too.
Everything is always clearly communicated, either via email or in-person. We mostly with Ruhubia, the Marketing & Brand Manager, whose an absolute star in supporting out charity trek and ensuring we have everything we need from the get-go!
Brilliant Tour Company to work with. Would recommend to anyone wanting to do this type of trekking holiday, without the stress of planning it all yourself!
Having no experience of running an overseas event, I was guided by one of our regular supporters to The Different Travel Company.
Since our first phone call in January 2024, when we had no clue what challenge to offer and who would take part, I have felt reassured by Sarah Burgess and her amazing team, knowing my supporters are getting the best level of care.
Poor Ruhubia has been at my beck and call over the last six months, and I couldn't have asked for a better overseas experience - all event fundraisers have issues passing over control, right?! Her incredible knowledge and peaceful nature have done wonders for my frazzled brain.
Every briefing and chat with the team has felt like an extension of our own - with The Different Travel Company, your event feels like the most important one in their calendar, you aren't just another team on a conveyor belt of overseas charity challenges. They have been incredible, and I couldn't recommend them enough.
St Catherine's Hospice Have worked with Different Travel on multiple treks in the UK and Overseas. They are always professional and efficient. In particular, when our Trek to Petra had to be cancelled just 5 weeks before departure, they turned around a brand new trek in record time which enabled our team of over 40 trekkers to still take on an epic challenge. Working in partnership with Different Travel, we have raised over ÂŁ500,000 to fund vital hospice care in West Sussex and East Surrey. We already have our next 2 treks booked, and hope to continue working together for a long time.
I was part of the 2026 Meningitis Now Trek in Morocco (5th - 10th March). This, by its nature, was an emotional few days, with most of those on the trip either survivors or having lost a family member or a friend. The trip was well organised and the team from Different Travel, including the guides and the staff, in the team (setting up, cooking) helped make the trip unforgettable. Would highly recommend.

I have done two overseas charity challenge events organised by Different travel and they have always provided an excellent service. An online travel account is provided which keeps you updated with all the up to date travel information and provides access to all travel documentation. Everything you be need is easily accessible. A company rep accompanied you on the trip so you have someone at hand 24/7 whilst overseas. The standards of accommodation and food are really good and exceeded my expectations, particularly when you consider that these are challenge events. All the staff including overseas guides are professional and helpful and provide excellent service. The events are competitively priced and offer a selection of payment methods providing excellent value. I highly recommended Different Travel.

Fundraising trip of a lifetime!
I was lucky enough to take on the Vietnam trek in 2024, led by the amazing Liv and with the irrepressibly optimistic local guide called “Sunny”.
From beginning to end everything was brilliantly organised and we had the trip of a lifetime, making new friends all whilst raising funds for Dorothy House Hospice.
If you want a challenge event that includes a local community project, led by an amazing team whilst supporting your local charity, you couldn’t do any better and I can’t say thank you enough to Liv and team from the Different Travel Company.

My first - maybe not my last - trip with DTC was the final stretch of the Via Francigena from Viterbo to Lazio. Ruhubia accompanied us with the aid of a local guide Francesco and the whole trip was seamless. I much appreciated the guidance given prior to departure, which made everything easier to prepare for this novice at long distance trekking. We raised money for our nominated charity and it became a truly memorable experience. Thank you: especially to Ruhubia.

2015 was my first trip with The Different Travel company. It was to Mozambique on a building project with ActionAid. Since then I've been on projects to Cambodia, Zambia, Rwanda, Kenya and Nepal, ALL with Different Travel. I cannot fault their organisation, support and professionalism. It is not an easy task to co-ordinate these building projects, but Different Travel does it with ease. I'll share this with you. I was staying in a hotel in Pokhara, Nepal recently on a project. Different travel had booked this hotel. The views from the hotel roof, of the lake, valley and Himalayas was staggering and I became quite emotional. Over the last couple of years I have completed two seperate trips with Different Travel, one to the Sahara and one to the Moroccan mountains. Each trip has been expertly arranged and conducted with clear communication prior to travel and amazing tour leaders on the trips. What an amazing trip, I went to Morocco and climbed Mount Toubkal. Couldn’t fault different travel everything was great felt very safe and at ease. I know it wasn’t different travel but the guided over in Morocco were amazing as well so felt different travel picked the right company to work for. Would 100% recommend anyone who want a challenge and an adventure.
