A beautiful location and a very enjoyable stay in Kingfisher lodge. The welcome pack for our puppy was an especially lovely touch, as was the hamper of goodies, including some of the best eggs I’ve ever tasted. We made full use of the outside bath, which was pure luxury on a summers evening. The lodge had everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom and we were especially pleased with how clean and tidy everything was. The enclosed decking was a boon for us as we have a lively puppy and proved to be such a lovely area to just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. I would happily recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet and relaxing break in beautiful and tranquil surroundings. We shall certainly be returning.

My partner and I had such a fantastic stay at Devonia Escapes... it was the perfect little retreat from the city with our fur baby. Amenities were great, and every comfort had been thought of (including an amazing outdoor bath!) They were also so kind as to post my partner's face mask back to us, which we'd forgotten. Would highly recommend :)

Fantastic peaceful getaway. The cabin was extremely clean and cosy; kitted out with everything we needed. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise and nice touch. My husband and myself will definitely come back and recommend Devonia Escape.

Absolutely beautiful accommodation in a very peaceful location. The Shepherd’s hut was perfect and immaculately clean. The interior was spacious and well thought out, and the attention to detail exceptional. The welcome pack with fresh eggs from the farm and local goodies was a lovely touch. Our dog loved her treats! It was so calming to sit out on the decking listening to the wind in the trees, the babbling stream, and the birdsong. The outdoor bath was really enjoyable, so much so that we’d now like one for ourselves! The only thing that let us down was the cloud hiding the stars. Jon and Teresa popped down to introduce themselves and check we were settled in ok. They’re both very welcoming and great hosts. We could contact them via WhatsApp if we needed any help or recommendations. We enjoyed a lovely meal at the local pub in the village, and visited beautiful Appledore. Thank you both for a really relaxing break.

We found the cabin and environs superb for a quiet relaxing weekend. The cabin had everything we required including a very comfortable bed. The eggs from the free range farm were the icing on the cake. Fresh and delishious.

This property is beautifully finished, with careful little details throughout from the basket of local supplies to the app with all the guidance you'd need. It feels like the hosts have stayed themselves and understood how people would stay, with hooks and plugs where needed, the kitchen setup to be useable. Jonathan and Teresa met us on arrival and checked everything was ok for us and were very welcoming. The cabin has everything you need as well as being welcoming and cosy. The decking with bbq, outdoor bath and seating is amazing. We used the bath even in the rain, as it was toasty warm. We would absolutely stay here again!

"Kingfisher" - A lovely, well equipped lodge (inc a welcome basket of great local produce) in a quiet part of N. Devon ... Arrival and 'check-in' is straightforward and inconspicuous; the owners are friendly, and the EV charging was really convenient, making for stress-less exploration of Clovelly, the Hartland Peninsula, Saunton Sands, and Exmoor. Furthermore, our two furry cocker-spaniel friends had a wonderful time. Only teeny-tiny restriction is that the lodge is north facing so it's cast in shadow from early evening, there are blankets provided though! Thank you for your hospitality!

These really are gorgeous luxurious glamping cabins. Our weekend stay in Fern in February was perfect, don’t be put off staying during winter months, with underfloor heating and a log burner you’re more than toasty. The cabins have a lovely Ensuite with good sized shower. The kitchen area has everything you need, and you get a lovely welcome pack with farm fresh eggs, milk, coffee, biscuits etc. They also provide the option to buy a celebration pack, we did as it was my birthday and it didn’t disappoint - Prosecco, locally made chocolates, strawberries and a birthday banner. We thought it was good value for money. The bed was really comfy, so you’ll definitely get a good nights sleep. You can even make use of the deck when it’s too cold to sit outside - cue the outdoor bath - we loved it, it was glorious to spend the evening submerged in warm water and bubbles, drinking champagne, on the festoon lit deck, chatting and listening to nearby stream. From the initial booking process and throughout communication was first class, and Jon & Teresa were great hosts. The app you’re provided with pre arrival gives you all the info you could possibly need at your fingertips, with great recommendations for places to visit, restaurants as well as everything you could possibly need to know about the cabin. Luxurious glamping at its best 😍

I cannot tell you how good this place is!!! It started with great communication leading up to our stay from the hosts, along with a fantastic, very detailed website to allow us to plan our stay. The accommodation is perfect, everything was clean, tidy and nothing was missed! The small touches made this extra special. Alexa for music, bubble bath for the outside tub, the new pots and pans, the free EV charging, to name a few. We was unlucky to come at a time the local pub, 0.5 miles away, was closed due to Christmas leave. This would have been the cherry on top. Thank you Jonathan and Teresa, we look forward to booking again soon.

Amazing cabin in a tranquil meadow. We loved listening to the owls and the dawn chorus. The cabin is perfectly equipped and kept us warm and cosy during Storm Bert when we got very soggy outside. Even managed an outside bath even if the bubbles blew away! Will definitely be back.

This was our first getaway of this kind, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The cabin was immaculate - spotlessly clean and equipped with every amenity we could imagine for maximum comfort. Everything felt new and carefully chosen; even most hotels don’t reach this level of perfection! The woodburner made our evenings cozy and memorable, while every morning, we were greeted by a little robin knocking at the window as our charming natural alarm clock. It was truly an unforgettable experience, and we can’t recommend it enough!

What a brilliant stay we had! It was evident from the moment we arrived that everything had been well thought out down to the smallest details. The Welcome Pack was absolutely stunning. Teresa couldn't be more helpful and went above and beyond. Highlights were The Bath... So great to sit out and watch the Stars. The WiFi... We had no issues streaming everything we wanted to watch. The Fire Pit... Making Smores for the first time was great fun! If you are looking for a secluded location that isn't miles away from civilization then this is the place for you!

Wow what a location. If you are looking for tranquility with luxury accommodation look no further. A type of shepherds hut but much bigger than the smaller ones you normally find. Everything like new and really comfy bed. Welcome pack also lovely. Outdoor bath with hot and cold taps was amazing. Looking up at the stars with the fire pit was just perfect. hot tubs are so last year!! Very private and quiet. Thanks very much we'll be back

We have just returned after staying 3 nights in Kingfisher Cabin. Wow, what can I say, such a gorgeous retreat to completely switch off and enjoy the nature. Stayed with hubby and 2 pups, and the security of the decking area meant we could relax, knowing our pups could not escape. Accommodation superb, stylish, clean and very homely, everything you need, is there! even the little things you forget, they had, which made our time even more special as we had no car to nip out for supplies! Jon and Teresa are the most spectacular hosts who went above and beyond when our car broke down, we cannot thank them enough for going out of their way to make our anniversary stay perfect!
