Both Paul and Daniel have been absolutely fantastic throughout the commencement of my project. Not only were they detailed and insightful in relation to exhibiting their knowledge and experience of facilitating this type of project but they were also very patient and available whilst responding to my various questions and they demonstrated a depth of knowledge and support that I felt was very impressive. I had a very good experience with Detailed Planning on a rear extension project for my period ground-floor flat. Chris and Paul were great, we were very happy with the whole experience. They helped us redesign our flat, including adding a side return and rear extension, and paid close attention to what we wanted. They sorted all the pre-construction admin and were responsive during construction itself, which was much appreciated.

We all know how strict Braintree District Council can be when it comes to granting planning applications, especially on sensitive plots like a green verge. After already receiving a refusal and being told by several other architects that it would be virtually impossible to obtain permission, we honestly felt disheartened and stuck.
Then we approached Detailed Planning. They were by far the most expensive architecture firm in town but now we completely understand why. From the beginning, Scott and Harry demonstrated a level of expertise, persistence and strategic thinking that set them apart. There was a huge amount of back and forth with the Council and at times the feedback felt overwhelmingly negative. The entire process was an emotional rollercoaster that went on for months without much hope, and there were moments when we genuinely thought it would not happen.
To this day we do not know what kind of sorcery Scott and Harry worked behind the scenes but somehow they managed to secure a green light at pre application stage for us to proceed with a full planning application. After everything we had previously been told, that felt nothing short of incredible.
Their professionalism, patience and determination never wavered, even when ours did. What seemed impossible became possible because of their knowledge, experience and approach. We genuinely could not be more grateful and would wholeheartedly recommend Scott and Harry to anyone facing a challenging planning situation in Braintree.
