I'll try and keep this short and sweet. Tl;dr: in many places, I have more hair than when I started. (EDIT: For clarity, I’m attaching photos to show you that some areas should NOT be treated with laser. I understand that redness following a treatment is normal. More hair afterwards…not so much)
I'm writing this to warn other young women looking for a way to decrease body hair appearance. I don't recommend you go here. It took me a long time to write this review because I wanted to make sure I wasn't writing out of anger but rather out of fact. I went to Dermamode for full-body treatments for about one year, if not longer (Dec 2023-Nov 2024).
There were a lot of technicians, many of which were very kind and tried their best! Others were rude or rushed treatments. Downside of many techs ? Inconsistent work (strength settings, how to treat areas to NOT have more hair grow where there was previously just peach fuzz (thighs, inner arms, shoulders)...)
At one point I would have 2-3 long appointments in a week to be able to cover all areas (as it was too painful to do the full body in one go). One area I would even treat every 3 days. I was in my early twenties at the time, I now feel taken advantage of by mgmt trying to squeeze the most out of someone.
Time consuming, expensive, highly painful, and worst yet--I had more hair after. I was not a laser professional, I was a 22/23 year old looking to feel better about herself.
I am of the opinion that Dermamode should have taken more responsible and educated steps to treat me. Instead, they took my money and continued to treat me in a way that ended with me having more hair than if I hadn't ever stepped in their offices.

I didn’t expect to leave a negative review, but I feel it’s important to share my experience to help others considering their tattoo removal services.
I purchased a package of six sessions in 2021 and was told their laser was among the most effective on the market. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience. Each session was extremely painful, especially since they didn’t use a cooling air device (something I later learned is standard at other clinics and is truly a game changer). The treatments were not only very uncomfortable, but also resulted in intense itching afterward, with minimal visible progress.
I raised concerns multiple times, as my tattoo wasn’t fading the way it should. Despite this, the approach never changed. I also rarely saw the same technician more than once or twice, as staff turnover seemed high, which didn’t inspire confidence or consistency in treatment.
After eight sessions, I consulted another clinic, and they confirmed that my results were not typical after this many sessions. To Dermamode’s credit, they responded professionally and offered a ninth session for free with a senior technician who trains the staff. I agreed, but during that session, I was told the issue was how the tattoo was originally done, and that I would simply need many more treatments. However, I noticed very little redness or bruising afterward, which was concerning, as those reactions are usually part of an effective laser treatment.
I ultimately decided to switch providers, and the difference has been remarkable. After just four sessions with them over the course of a year, my tattoo is now essentially gone. After every session I get way more redness and bruising which has contributed to the tattoo fading much quicker than with Dermamode, but no itchiness afterwards and no pain during treatment which is awesome.
While I don’t believe the process is intentionally prolonged, my experience suggests there may be limitations in either the equipment or the technique used. I would recommend doing thorough research and considering other options before committing to their tattoo removal services.
UPDATE in response to the owner:
Please do not mischaracterize a cryogenic skin-cooling machine as a mere "comfort measure." In professional laser tattoo removal, a cooling device is a standard safety necessity. Without it, laser heat becomes trapped in the upper layers of the skin—which is exactly why I experienced days of intense, miserable itching and surface heat rashes during my first few sessions, despite seeing zero fading. By dismissing it as just a different "technique," you are trying to make a massive equipment deficiency sound like a simple stylistic choice.
A cooling machine protects the epidermis so that a technician can safely raise the laser’s energy high enough to actually shatter deep ink. By failing to use one, you are not only forcing clients to endure unnecessary pain and surface skin trauma, but you are also severely limiting the effectiveness of your own expensive PicoWay laser. Having a Ferrari doesn't mean anything if you don't know how to drive it, or if you keep it strictly in first gear. By bragging about the technology of the PicoWay laser, you are trying to look like the authority, completely ignoring the fact that your high staff turnover meant you had undertrained, rotating technicians who were likely terrified of burning me and therefore kept the settings completely useless. My immediate success at a clinic that uses standard cooling protocols completely disproves the excuse that my slow progress was just due to my body's "natural clearance process."

After 5 times of my treatments, the staff asked me how many Google accounts I had and suggested that if I left multiple positive reviews from different accounts, they could give me a $10 to $20 discount on my next visit. That immediately made me question whether their Google reviews were genuine.
After completing five hair removal sessions with little to no visible results, I went back and carefully looked through their reviews. After reading hundreds of five-star reviews, I became even more suspicious that many of them were not authentic.
People can judge for themselves by looking through the reviews carefully. I have personally known people in the past who were paid to write fake reviews for businesses.
We fully support honest feedback and constructive criticism, as transparency and client trust are extremely important to us. However, we also have a responsibility to address reviews that contain false or misleading allegations about unethical business practices.
The claims made in this review are categorically untrue. Dermamode has never paid for fake Google reviews, asked clients to create multiple accounts, or offered incentives in exchange for dishonest feedback.
Unfortunately, this review appears consistent with a recent pattern of abusive and misleading posts targeting our business using varying names and altered wording. While we respect every client’s right to share genuine experiences, repeated defamatory accusations presented as fact are not acceptable.
