Hey Frankie, Atom here, the owner. I’m genuinely disappointed this is where things ended up, especially because I did everything I reasonably could to make this right for you.

I want to clarify the situation for anyone reading this. You purchased our 5-year ceramic coating package, which included a one-step paint enhancement designed to remove roughly 60% of swirls and light imperfections - not a full multi-step paint correction. I explained the expected level of correction during our initial call, again before service, and most importantly, performed a test section on your vehicle so you could see the expected result before I continued. You approved the result and asked me to proceed.

Afterward, you expressed that you were happy and even left us a 5-star review. So yes, I do believe I did a good job.

When I returned for a complimentary follow-up, you pointed out areas you wanted corrected further. Although deeper correction wasn’t included in the original service or complimentary follow-up, I corrected those areas at no additional charge because your satisfaction was important to me.

A few weeks later, you contacted me again, unhappy with the remaining swirls and feeling you had paid too much based on opinions you received from others. I explained that you didn’t purchase a full paint correction. You purchased a one-step paint enhancement along with a ceramic coating and coverage for the next five years.

Despite the original service being performed to the level we discussed and you approved, I offered another resolution: I would return and perform a more aggressive two-step cut and polish completely free of charge. This would remove more imperfections, but also remove the existing ceramic coating. Because the original coating service had been completed as agreed, I couldn’t reasonably redo the entire coating process while also upgrading you to a more extensive correction at no additional cost.

You declined that offer because you didn’t want the paint corrected more aggressively.

I’ll admit I was frustrated when you initially said the enhancement looked “not even 10% better” than before. I don’t believe that accurately represents the result, especially considering your original 5-star review stated the vehicle looked better than when you drove it off the lot.

Another conversation during the service stuck with me. While making small talk, I complimented your tint. You explained that your experience with the installer had been a nightmare, that it wasn’t perfect, and that you had him return three separate times to correct it. Between that experience, the significant change in your assessment of my work after initially being happy with it, and the resolutions I had already offered, I eventually realized I wasn’t going to be able to reach an outcome that would fully satisfy you.

I respect that you ultimately weren’t satisfied, and I’m sorry we couldn’t reach a resolution you were comfortable with. But I also have to stand behind my work and the expectations established beforehand. I delivered the service we agreed upon, returned to address additional concerns at no charge, and offered further corrective work at no charge.

I started Delight because I genuinely care about the work we put out and the people we serve. I never want a customer walking away unhappy, which is why I made multiple attempts to resolve this with you. I wish we could have ended things differently.
