Harry and Delicate Gem provided my now-fiancée and I with a fantastic ring shopping experience from start to finish. We visited several shops around the city, including a few in the Diamond District, but Delicate Gem was the most transparent, straightforward, and helpful out of all of them. No over-the-top salesmanship or shady offers -- just answering our questions and helping us find our ideal stone for an incredible price. When we requested a specific ratio for the oval-shaped stone my fiancée was hoping for, Harry sourced it within a couple days. It actually turned out to be a better color and clarity than the previous stones we were considering. Long story short, we got a better stone for a lower cost than we ever expected. After placing a deposit, we received a CAD design with the opportunity to make whatever tweaks we wanted, and Harry was quick to respond via text every time. The ring was ready to pick up within 6-8 weeks and looked perfect -- precisely to our specifications. Harry provided us with the certification documents and an on-the-spot appraisal, and walked us through all of the after-care/repair/replacement costs (all very reasonably priced). I'm so glad we found Delicate Gem and I look forward to returning for future jewelry purchases. Thank you again, Harry!

I always wanted a diamond from the NY diamond district. But if you are not from NY and don’t know a lot about diamonds it can be intimidating. So happy I got a recommendation to go to Delicate Gem and to work with Harry. I had one day to pick out the stone but eventually by text I upgraded and the diamond and setting for my new engagement ring turned out spectacular. Truly stunning. My husband was very impressed. I love it.
Be careful with what he says. I wanted to sell him my goods, he said that can do 250 per carat . After it was on site, he didn't purchase them.

Unfortunately this was not the case. this gentleman emailed me offering to sell sapphires with pictures attached to the email for $300 per carat. I told him that I wouldn't be interested in that price. He later dropped down to $250 per carat to which I said I need to see them in person. He later sent his sister in with the stones to show me and i did not like the quality of the stones and told her i was not interested. We never did any business to receive a negative review.

Harry was unbelievable when it came to executing on every instruction. As someone who was not familiar at all with engagement rings, it was quite a relief to deal with someone so helpful and knowledgeable. Communication was great and my fiancé loved the final product. I worked with Harry and created a 6K fancy intense yellow diamond ring . It is absolutely beautiful HARRY made sure to send me photos and updates as it was being created. Always keeping in touch. He was just the perfect person to work with not pushy at all ,Understanding has a great eye. I loved working with him . I will always go back to him.
So incredibly happy with my ring and pendant necklace designed by Ari at Delicate Gem! The process was wonderful and Ari helped us use the pave stones from my original engagement ring to incorporate into my new upgraded ring. He also helped us take the center stone from my original ring and turn it into a wonderful necklace. Could not recommend him enough and plan to order a new wedding band from him as well.
I originally went with a large jewellery company in Tribeca to design my custom ring. They sent two CAD’s, miles off my design after 5 weeks of working with them and then told me if I made any changes I wouldn’t make the proposal date. This meant I had to pull out three weeks before my proposal date and find someone who could make the ring in that time, bearing in mind the first two weeks of July every shop is closed as jewellers don’t take any time off over Christmas.
I read Harry’s great reviews and came to the shop expecting to be turned away due to my timeline. After showing him my designs he called around and found one of the only casters working in that two week period in NY who could make the casting, giving just 4 days to complete the setting when the shop re-opened.
I got a text the day before the pickup date and collected the ring on my way to the airport, it was perfect, exactly like my designs and beautifully finished. I can’t recommend Harry and the Delicate Gem NYC team enough. My fiancé and I will be coming back to them for years to come!
