We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Defender Campers and couldn’t recommend it more highly. From the start, Dan was incredibly friendly, helpful, and informative. Blue Belle herself was brilliant – full of character, great fun to drive, and for me, the highlight of our entire trip. Everything was thoughtfully set up and very well equipped, with all the kit we needed for a comfortable trip. We’ll definitely be booking again if I haven't bought a defender by then! and would recommend Defender Campers to anyone looking for something a bit different and genuinely fun.

I’d wanted to drive a LR Defender for as long as I can remember - this experience didn’t disappoint. Dan and Emily’s comms ensured we were well briefed on the dos and don’ts of driving and how to make the most of our camping experience. Our Landy (Silver Belle) was equipped with everything we could have needed for a couple of nights camping. We drove cross country to North Devon; the driving experience was exactly as you’d expect from a proper Defender; slow, noisy, but absolutely brilliant fun. I’d recommend taking the scenic route like we did. We’d do it again in an instant (if we could just arrange the same beautiful weather!) and would go straight back to Dan and team if and when we do.

Fab service, much more fun than a motor home. My family (me, hubby and 2 teens) had a fantastic time with Cherry Belle. Left our EV family saloon at “base camp” and drove her down to the south coast for some adventures. The roof tent was really easy to put up/ down which saved a family argument. Teens argued over who the roof tent was for - high praise. No argument needed - it was for grown ups. For those with smaller and compliant off-spring, the roof tent will definitely fit x3, possibly 4. For our cherubs, we preferred a bit of distance 😉.The added extras were a winner and really good quality:- a tent which was bijoux but perfect for one teen and, her products and wardrobe. Second teen used a tent from home which was shoddy in comparison - but hubby was happy reminiscing about good old days travelling. - SUPs x2 were amazeballs - left the kids arguing and paddled round Burgh island - actually heaven. Kit was fab - everything you need for a weekend away. Loved driving Cherry 🍒 - can only be driven with a smile 😀. Much chat about how boring EV cars are to drive.Service from Dan and Emily was fab - really personal and he patiently tolerated my tardy admin. I’m a sucker for good service and this was right up there. Thank you ☺️.

SO MUCH FUN! We cannot recommend Defender Campers highly enough. We stayed in Indie Belle with two adults and two kids (and a dog!). A completely unique and unforgettable way to go camping and get around - the joy of driving around in Indie Belle was part of the experience, even over familiar roads. She makes a marvellous noise, and needs to be ‘actively’ driven, but that’s part of the charm. The kids (11 and 12) loved the novelty of being seat-belted in the back with the dog. Plenty of battery power for off-grid trips, plus a really handy extra battery pack with lights and extra charge points for keeping phones alive (though the clip lock prison for the phones was a welcome addition, we did need them for navigating!). We took games and all sorts with us, and actually all the kids wanted to do, and us, was be outside in the beautiful spots that we were able to stay. We’re already planning our next one! Thanks Dan and co for your help and advice!

I took Cherry on a little jaunt around the south coast chasing the sun. I fell in love! Well kitted out, super easy to pop the top and get the tent up…. I was filmed doing it and it took 2 minutes and 23 seconds to get my bed made 😂 so plenty of time to enjoy a glass of wine gazing at the sunny horizon. Easy to pack up - one human and 5-10 mins for the tent… my only struggle was being short!! Definitely something you have to experience in your life!! Thank you 🙏🏻

Amazing experience to discover remote areas of the UK We had such a great experience with Defender Campers. We went for the weekend in July and discovered Exmoor National Park and the North Devon Coast. Blue Belle was so much fun for the journey and got us to some quite remote locations. Dan was so helpful and easy to communicate with - we had the best time!

Amazing time in defender campers Defenders campers was great for a few days away travelling around Cornwall, it is located in a perfect place to pick up if you planning to head south and had space to leave your car whilst you are away. The defender was very well equipped with everything that was needed for whilst we were camping in the defender.

3 nights in Cherry Belle We hired Cherry Belle and more or less followed the 3 day Exmoor explorer. Dan was super helpful and accomodating throughout, answering any questions and helping us get ready. Cherry was great fun for us as a family and dog and we had a lot of fun getting away from it all and exploring Exmoor. We will definitely use Defender campers again and try out one of their other awesome vehicles.

An amazing few days on Exmoor and the north Devon coast in Cherry Belle. We absolutely loved the ease, freedom, and independence that came with traveling in this way. Cherry has everything you need, and was easy to set up and take down etc. Highly recommended.

Me and my family rented cherry belle for three nights and it was amazing! It’s so well stocked with everything you need and super easy to set up the awning and the roof tent. It is an amazing way to spend time outside and explore, it’s perfect for a family adventure!!

Such a cool experince Loved the idea of defenders and camping in them so had to try it. I’m now in love with them, and the camping aspects. Didn’t know the UK had such unique places.
