We needed a new roof and we reached out to 5 roofing companies to come and quote the job. We decided to go with Deegan Roofing because their quote was competitive and they are local in Scotch Plains. Our initial contact was with Brian, the owner. We discovered that Brian lives just around the corner from us. There's something comforting in knowing that the owner of this company is a neighbor. Brian sat with us for about 20 minutes and walked us thru the process. He was straightforward and answered all our questions with patience and professionalism. We had a couple of questions that came up after that initial meeting and those questions were answered promptly by email. When we made our decision, we signed a contract and set up a date for 3 weeks out. Debbie and Mary , from their office, kept us updated with the schedule and the day before the project, a delivery of materials was dropped off. The next day, the crew came and did the job. They started around 8:30 Am and were done by 4PM. The roof looks great and you can't tell that there was even a crew there working because everything was cleaned up and put away. It's never fun shelling out a chunk of money for a home improvement project but we feel really good that Brian and his crew did a great job at a fair price and our home will be protected for years to come. We hired Deegan Roofing during the pandemic to replace our house roof and were extremely impressed with their thoroughness and attention to detail. They carefully repaired damaged wood before installing new shingles. Since then, they have also replaced our garage roof, repaired exterior siding, installed new gutters with Micro Mesh, and fixed gutter connections on our house.

Great company for all exterior needs. Quick response and very professional when dealing with them while at the residence. There’s no beating around the bush with this company, and they won’t try and screw you. They do an honest job and they are reasonable in cost. Highly recommended!!!
My wife and I have used Deegan many times, including two roof replacements (Berkeley Heights and Gillette) and recently an attic fan and vent replacement.
