We are forever grateful to Helen and the whole DC Lane team for all of their help to get our house sale completed. They were there every step of the way and because they are a relatively small, local team, it felt very personal and bespoke so they kept checking in with us and kept us updated throughout. The whole team worked tirelessly to help us (and also the other buyers and sellers) to navigate our way through. Helen helped to be a voice of reason and reassurance through the whole moving maze and we can’t thank her enough!! Attention potential tenants! Do not ever rent anything from Dc Lane plymouth
Dance Collier and his staff have no respect for tenants only doing the landlord interest
The apartment was delivered at the beginning filthy and with plenty of structural faults
The faults were causing leaking on other apartments
The heating in the bathrooms was not working it took me months to have it fixed as the landlord would ignore the problem and Dc lane would not do anything to send over a plumber for months
I also had a mice invasion in the autumn time and I had to hire my own pest control because the landlord would refuse to pay for it amd Dc lane didn't intervene
I had constant visitations in my apartment from Dan collier his staff and landlord entering the apartment when I was not there because the neighbours were reporting water leaks and they were blindly chasing the origin of it
Absolutely the worst agency and tenancy I ever had in my life

We are very sorry you are unhappy with the property and the service - Actually it is a beautiful 3 bedroom modern executive apartment in one of the most sought after developments in Plymouth. Yes there have been a number of maintenance issues, including that mice that had found there way in to the building in a number of flats - this was dealt with by the block management company, the towel radiators were repaired by our plumber after the first engineer couldn't find a problem and there has been a leak reported by the downstairs neighbour. We have sent you evidence of the leak downstairs and been very careful not to enter the property without your permission. We absolutely would prefer not to have to inconvenience you but where property management matters need to be addressed, it is unavoidable in order to resolve the issue and avoid undue and escalating damage to this or the neighbours property.
The irony isn't lost on us that most complaints are about not addressing property issues, and this one is about us doing exactly that!
That said, please do accept our sincere apologies that you have become so upset by the need for us to attend 4 times during your tenancy - we do hope that we can quickly identify the leak issue and have it resolved with the minimum of future disruption to yourself.

We approached all the leading estate agents in the local area with some trepidation as we were concerned as to how well our house would sell. The house was a lot larger than most which narrowed our potential market. The agents all gave their fair professional assessments but they lacked something which left us feeling anxious at being able to sell our home in a difficult market and at a higher selling price. I cannot speak highly enough of DC Lane. We were amazed when we sold our house within 24 hours of putting it on the market but having seen Helen in action in the house we ultimately bought through them I am not surprised! We have been landlords in Plymouth for more than 30 years but its our time to get out of this market. I first dealt with Helen Somauroo from DC Lane last year 2024 when we put a Peverell house on the market. I liked her enthusiasm and she was the only agent of the three we contacted who actually pointed out that the house we were intending to sell was three double bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The house went live and we received two offers for the full asking price on the first day. Helen and her team were constantly on our case, in our corner, throughout the sale process, liaising with the two conveyancing teams involved with the sale. Needless to say the sale progressed smoothly all within ten weeks. We put a second Peverell house on the market in July 2025. It took ten days for an acceptable offer to be presented (Within 1% of their valuation) and ten weeks from offer to completion.
