Vinny came out to replace a sensor in 454B unit. We discussed another small issue that came up during the cold snap. My WiFi thermostat lost power, the float switch was tripped due to ice in the trap. I had no heat, so temporarily I pulled the float away from the ice. Vinny retired the float switches to instead turn off the condensing unit. So any further heat situation would be alleviated.

Joe arrived on time, was courteous and professional, understood the situation, and had the remedy in hand, and resolved everything in an impressively brief amount of time. I have always come to expect this kind of service from Deiter Bros.

So, last night we lost heat in our home. There was not much we could do than call to get an emergency fix on a Sunday knowing what the charges look like for a job of that nature as we have animals in the house who could be at risk with the frigid temperatures at night. I called as early as possible Sunday morning and explained the situation and I was bluntly told “We won’t help today as you’re not an existing customer, best I’ll do is get you in Monday. I don’t make the rules”. Oddly enough, Deiter Brothers used to service my home as we’ve only lived here for a little over a year, but because they didn’t have my name listed they were okay refusing emergency service. It did not feel like the family-friendly service or care that I’ve seen posted online about them. We are in the market for a new central AC Unit this summer and were interested in using Deiter Brothers as they’re even located less than 5 minutes from my home. But seeing how a new customer is prioritized, I find it likely we’ll have to search elsewhere.

Sorry to hear that things didnt work out as well as you had hoped. We do reserve our after hours teams for our contract customers. That is the promise that we make them when they purchase that coverage. Hopefully you were able to get your issue resolved to your satisfaction.
Just had my heating system cleaned by Dylan and Alex. They were both clean, prompt, and professional. They offered the service I have come to expect from Dieter Bros, and are the reason we continue to use their services.

Thank you Zachary! We appreciate you!
We were having work done on our HVAC system. Vinny, our Tech, worked through the issue systematically to diagnose the issue. He wanted to make sure that he was actually going to fix the issue and not just put a Band-Aid on it. After diagnosis, instead of just telling us the issue, he went out of his way to make sure that we understood what the issue was and what the fix was. His honesty was a breath of fresh air. Vinny was friendly, helpful, and polite.

Thank you for the great review Joseph!
I had the pleasure of working with Ryan Skoutelas from Deiter Bros. when he came out to diagnose an issue with our HVAC unit, and I truly cannot say enough great things about the experience.
Ryan was exceptionally professional, knowledgeable, and thorough from start to finish. He carefully diagnosed the problem, clearly explained what was happening, and walked us through the necessary steps to resolve it. What truly stood out, however, was his dedication and integrity.
Despite freezing temperatures and being past normal business hours, Ryan stayed to ensure our system was functioning properly and that our home had heat before he left. That level of commitment, especially in extreme weather conditions, speaks volumes about both his character and the company he represents.
He was not only technically skilled but also genuinely kind, patient, and caring qualities that make a stressful situation much easier to navigate.
Because of Ryan’s outstanding service, I highly recommend Deiter Bros. to anyone in need of HVAC services. Professionalism, expertise, and true customer care at its finest.
Thank you again for going above and beyond.

Ordered propane in early January because we ran out faster than anticipated. The agent told us it was the coldest winter on record and that’s why we ran out so quickly. He strongly recommended automatic delivery so that we wouldn’t run out. We set up automatic delivery and were told to expect delivery “around 2/13.” We ran out of fuel exactly on 2/13, fuel wasn’t delivered.
My wife called 2/14 to request a delivery since they didn’t make it in time. They said they’d deliver it without forcing an emergency fee on us because of the circumstances. That’s fair. But then when they get to the house, they claim they can’t deliver fuel because of the condition of the driveway, there being stairs to get up to the tank through the front yard, and the backyard not being shoveled to the front of the house.
We had a major snowstorm. We cleared as much as we could physically manage between working every day, including many 16-hour shifts. My wife has no problem getting her Fiat 500 up the driveway, but according to the agent who came out, the problem is “weight balance” and that’s why he can’t get up the driveway. The tank is right next to the road, but they can’t park on the road and pump the fuel from there because the tank is at a higher elevation than the truck.
We’re not propane experts. We’re not trained technicians in this field. We shouldn’t have to be. That’s why we’re hiring professionals to deliver fuel. We had no way of anticipating any of these alleged issues getting in the way of us getting the fuel that was supposed to be delivered previously. Had we been made aware earlier that any of this would have been an issue, we may have been able to do something about the driveway in advance. Had they attempted delivery earlier, like, before we were at 0, we would have been able to make arrangements to do something to get this fixed. Now, we can’t even hire one of the nearby landscaping services to come and help clear the driveway because it’s a weekend, and we’re completely out of fuel.
Excuse after excuse after excuse. That’s all we’re getting. And all we’re getting is the impression that the delivery tech either doesn’t care or just can’t be bothered to help us. “We can’t get the truck up the driveway,” “Our trucks are really bad on any sort of incline,” “We can’t park on the street,” “Your LAWN isn’t shoveled,” “We can’t get up the stairs,” “We’re really busy this week.” All just excuses.
2/15, newest excuse is that we never had a safety check which per my records, was completed three years ago. According to the field tech or operations manager or whatever his title is, they should have never been delivering any fuel to the house because they don’t have a record of the safety check being completed. He said he’d reprimand those who messed up along the way. THAT DOESN’T SOLVE OUR PROBLEM OF NOT HAVING HEAT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINTER BECAUSE THE COMPANY KEEPS MAKING EXCUSES AND SCREWING UP! We don’t care if they “reprimand” the people responsible for whatever happened incorrectly with the safety check, if they retrain them, fire them, beat them with a stick, or whatever! It’s irrelevant. We ran out of fuel in the middle of winter, have no heat or hot water, and have been forced to spend two days running around like crazy for NOTHING. Priorities, people!
I’m scared of this company. I’m scared of what they’re doing to older customers who can’t take care of themselves and probably know even less about what’s going on than we do. I’m scared their multiple levels of blaming others, making excuses, and not communicating correctly is going to cause someone to freeze to death or get injured in a gas leak or something. We’re switching companies.
