Great activity with the friends! Lots of different items to choose from. Pretty good explanation of the process. I recommend getting there early to look at patterns and colors. One thing they don't tell you that you don't think about the first time is that unless you are doing paper, scarf, or something else flat, the design you make is not what you'll end up with. My only other issues was that we had offered to return to pick up our items after going to eat, but they dried them "good enough" and paint from my planter came off onto the bag it was in.

This was a fun experience. The staff was excellent, and they helped us all the way through the process. It's very hands on and good for adults and kids. We had both in our group of 5. You won't walk away with a masterpiece, but it will be a fun memorable activity. The art of how the paint on water works is very interesting. I personally dyed a silk scarf, and I think it turned out good, the color choice was popping, but after it dried permanently, the colors were dull. It may be just how it dries on the silk. The other products our group created were ceramic or wood, and they turned out fine. I highly recommend Dallas Silk Art. It was a lot of fun.

I took my daughters, a friend and her daughters here to try water marbeling. It was very fun and simple. We loved picking our colors and making our designs. They explained things well and helped along the way. We made the smaller scarves.

If you're looking for a rather cheap fun activity, this is it. It's super fun & the fact you get to walk away with art is so cool! The staff did a great job on a pretty busy Saturday. They have so many options, I did the scarf. We got to leave with it same day which is a plus!

This was really cool. We went for a birthday party and I fully expected to leave with something that looked bad because I’m not super artsy. The team was so knowledgeable and explained things so well that I ended up being able to make a design I was really happy with and get it transferred onto some coasters

Cool concept but having to make a reservation for certain things kind of killed the hour ride here with my family from our of town.

I’m so sorry that we were unable to accommodate you and your family upon your arrival. We do operate as a reservation based business due to a pre-treatment process required for each product prior to each workshop. Certain products, including our silk scarves, require an overnight pre-treatment process. Even though we are reservation based, we still strive to accommodate walk-ins as best as we can when we have available spots open. Walk-ins are also limited on what they can marble due to the required prep work.

Hopefully we will see you back soon. We would love for you and your family to experience the magic of water marbling. Booking one of our future workshops will help allow us to best prepare for a wonderful experience for you and your family. We had such a fun time at Dallas Silk Art celebrating my sister-in-law's birthday! She's an artist, so I thought she'd enjoy trying a new, creative experience--and she really did. She made a beautiful silk scarf, my niece decorated a hat, and I designed a set of placemats. It was a unique and memorable activity that we all thoroughly enjoyed. The whole experience took about 90 minutes, and it was the perfect birthday gift. I'd definitely recommend it to friends and family looking for something fun and creative to do together.
