Chris and his crew removed our older in floor tub, rebuilt the floor, re-plumbed for the new drain and shower. We planned out and installed the Onyx shower product, and it has been wonderful, we were also able to get matching countertop in the bathroom. They were great to work with start to finish! Will definitely look to work with any future products and recommend to family, friends and co-workers.

VanVleet is the BEST! Chris managed our stamped concrete patio, deck, and gutter project perfectly from design to final inspection. The finished product he gave us enhanced our lifestyle and outdoor enjoyment more than we imagined. Chris helped us create the perfect design, select the best products and colors, gave us options we didn't know we had, created a concept sketch, and handled all the permits and inspections. Chris' team moved our outdoor faucet to give us a bigger deck and when he heard there was a leak he was right back out and fixed it. Chris creatively worked with us to run our gutters through a culvert underneath our stamped patio to a drain tube to avoid running an exposed gutter spout over the top of our patio. Just look at all that wood they used on our subframe to our deck! If they wanted to cut corners they would have surely done it where it couldn't be seen, but that's where they doubled down! And check out how they plumbed the garage downspout precisely to the rain barrel my wife wanted near our garden. Once I knew who Chris was I actually ran into him at our local grocery store. So Chris isn't the guy who's going to skip town as soon as he gets your money, he's more like your nextdoor neighbor. Sure there may be cheaper out there, but then that's all your project will ever be. Oh by the way, this review isn't sponsored or coerced in any way. These guys did an amazing job on our teardown/rebuild of our old deck earlier this year. Any issue that came up, Chris took care of it. Chris just finished our 2nd bathroom remodel this year and we couldn't be happier! We were very impressed with Chris' attention to detail and his determination to make everything absolutely perfect. He really listened to what we wanted to do and made suggestions for improvements to our design. We even threw him a few curves with adding things along the way and using outside the norm fixtures like a shower panel in our 2nd bathroom and a waterfall tub spout in our main bath. Chris spent almost 2 hours going over the new deck plan I had drawn up, and suggested some changes that would allow us to have a larger deck, and still stay within our budget. Our new deck is almost 10 feet above ground. The stairs go down to a 4x4 landing, and then make a 90 degree turn, and end up directly in front of our gate. The deck is beautiful, and rock solid. Chris and Darian were polite and professional throughout the entire project. Chris made sure that all of our needs were met, and gladly accomodated us on some last minute changes. Chris is a man of great integrity, and a hard worker, and we will be hiring him for future remodeling projects.

They do it right and they get it done fast. I had initially thought I only needed a new floor, but then Home Depot told me they could not install one due to water damage. Chris was the only person who looked at it who was able to figure out how the water damage was actually happening. Even the insurance adjuster missed it! I also appreciate that Chris and his team worked to save me money, e.g. keeping the original bathroom vanity when we determined it was still usable.
This was an unplanned expense, so the ability to work with GreenSky was a big plus, too. The vinyl plank floor looks and feels great; now I wish I could have it in my kitchen and entry, too. Next time, when I hope I have a planned remodel, I will be calling Van Vleet Construction.
We used VanVleet for removal of some ice dams that had built up on the cold side of our house even though we roof rake each time it snows. They were able to come out the very next day. The two guys were polite and professional. They had me sign off on the time they started work so there was no question when it came time to pay which I appreciated. They also gave me advice on how to prevent dams in the future. I talked to Chris to pay the bill; he was very friendly and professional as well. I would recommend them for ice dam removals -- hopefully we never need to use them again for ice dams! :)
My wife, and I met with Chris Van Vleet to discuss renovating our existing deck. Chris was very professional in assessing our needs. This was a very time sensitive project as we needed the work to be completed within a very short period of time. Chris was able to meet the demands of this schedule. Our roof was leaking due to an ice dam. After spending most of the night babysitting the situation I sent out several requests for help. Chis VanVleent dba as Ice Dams Removed was quick to get back to me and was at my house by 7:30AM the next morning....only hours after I had submitted an online request. I was very very pleased with our experience in an otherwise tense moment. His rate was reasonable even though he could have gouged us. He worked very quickly and efficiently and I believe this was because he knew what he was doing and was honest. I will be keeping his card if i have a need for a contractor down the road.
