BEWARE: They are not capable of providing all the services required to "age in place" as they claim. Their aging-in-place web page (as of 3/9/26) claims they can provide Skilled Nursing and Home Healthcare through in-house healthcare providers. That is VERY UNTRUE. Unfortunately, we found out the hard way. Many of the residents have major cognitive decline and should be living in assisted living or memory care facilities. And it was disturbing that only one person is on staff for the entire facility at night. They oversell their services and capabilities.

Cambridge Village of Apex is an independent living community. Our aging-in-place approach allows residents to remain in their apartments while receiving services from licensed home care and therapy providers who deliver care on-site through trusted healthcare partners. These services may include primary care, home care support, and physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

Our goal is to ensure residents and families clearly understand what is included in independent living and how additional care can be coordinated if needs change. We work hard to communicate our model transparently so families can make informed decisions with confidence.

My family member has been living at The Cambridge at Brier Creek for a while now, and we could not be happier with the experience. The community is incredibly clean, beautifully maintained, and feels fresh and modern every time we walk in. You can tell the team takes real pride in the building and in creating a welcoming environment. The activities are truly outstanding there’s always something fun, engaging, and meaningful going on. From social events to fitness classes to outings, they make sure residents stay active and connected, which has made such a positive impact on my loved one’s daily life. The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely cares about the residents. They’ve given our family such peace of mind knowing our loved one is safe, supported, and surrounded by people who treat them like family. We highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will thrive!

As a resident of Cambridge Village, I recently held a Red Hat Tea Party. Pierrette and Mandy were incredibly helpful in planning, decorating, and preparing the food. They even arrived in costume following our Alice in Wonderland theme and entertained us. The Tea is now being talked about as the GOAT (Greatest of all Teas!). I have lived here for a little over 2 years and they treat me like family here. I am able to continue my active lifestyle and have made so many new friends. For me Cambridge is the GOAT (Greatest of all Treasures).

We love the atmosphere at The Cambridge at Brier Creek!!! It’s like a world of its own! It features a wonderful full course restaurant with delicious cuisine, a movie theater, and much more! It is luxury living at its finest! I was telling my husband when we get ready to go into our low maintenance era of living they are definitely a top choice! They have very spacious floor plans and the staff there are very informative and inviting! I love the fact that they keep the residents entertained with different monthly events and gatherings!

Upon my parents’ initial relocation to the Cambridge at Brier Creek, I characterized their new residence as akin to a luxurious cruise ship. Well the ship is beginning to leak. My parents are now having to relocate from the place they have called home because of what appears to be financial mismanagement and /or greed on the part of ownership. My parents and many other residents signed their initial leases at the Cambridge with the assurance that their rent would only be subject to modest increases at renewal times. Instead they have been hit with annual increases of 10, 12, 15, 17% and higher as their leases come up for renewal in 2026. Ownership now contends that they require what they deem to be market value for these apartments, irrespective of what these tenants had been promised. The exorbitant rent increases imposed upon an elderly population with fixed incomes are particularly concerning, as their plans for the future were predicated on a whole different set of numbers. My parents had envisioned the Cambridge as their permanent residence. That is no longer to be. As the Cambridge becomes unaffordable for them and their trust is shattered they face the emotional and physical strain of having to find a new place to live and leaving the friends they have made. Charging “market value” to new residents is certainly understandable, but predatory rent increases to residents of long standing does not speak well of ownership. I strongly advise prospective residents to exercise utmost caution and thorough consideration before entering into a lease agreement with this property. It is crucial to ensure that any agreements or promises made by the sales staff, management, and ownership are documented in writing. Jessica Levenberg

To provide some additional context, there was one rent adjustment early in your parents’ residency, followed by a two-year lease term without any increases. The upcoming renewal reflects the first adjustment under the new lease period. During this process, we also explored alternative apartment options that may have helped address overall costs, though they ultimately were not the right fit.

Rent adjustments are based on operational costs, market conditions, and long-term sustainability-not arbitrary decisions. We strive to provide transparency so families can plan ahead.

I am writing as the daughter of residents at The Cambridge at Brier Creek, and I feel a responsibility to speak up about what is happening there. Many longtime residents, including my parents, are being asked to sign new leases with rent increases of 12%, 15%, 17%, and more as their 2026 renewals approach. These are not one-time adjustments, but part of a stated plan to raise rents to “market value” over the next several years. Residents were not informed of this possibility when they first moved in and planned their retirements. These are seniors on fixed incomes who chose this community believing it would be a stable place to spend their later years. They built routines, friendships, and support systems here. Now, many are being forced to scramble for alternative housing they never expected to need, at a stage of life when stability matters most. Residents organized respectfully and in good faith to ask for transparency and reasonable alternatives. Management made it clear they are moving forward regardless and ownership refuses to meet with residents. Trust is broken, morale is suffering, and an aging, vulnerable population is being put under unnecessary stress. The Cambridge’s mission statement says it exists “to the glory of God” and to provide “an environment of security, wellness, and enjoyment.” I struggle to reconcile that mission with policies that place financial strain on seniors who relied on consistent costs and good-faith relationships. Charging market rates to new residents is one thing. Forcing existing residents to shoulder the burden of ownership’s financial decisions is another. Families considering this community should ask very direct questions about long-term affordability, transparency, and how residents are treated when financial priorities change.

We were in a great place in Scottsdale Arizona, but it didn't compare to this.The staff is excellent and they are also kind. The neighbors are lovely and there is a real sense of community, fostered by management. .

My mother was a temporary resident at Cambridge Village and the staff was amazing! The Executive Director, Dara was always full of positive energy and you could just tell she cared about the well being of all her residents and staff.

I highly recommend Cambridge! My parents have lived there for 2.5 years and they are very comfortable, safe, and secure. The staff is like family to them. When issues arise, they are promptly addressed. The location is great…close to shopping, restaurants and medical care. This all takes a huge weight off my shoulders.

My parents aged 90 and 88 upon renting at Cambridge Village last year, were a bit nervous with such a big change at this point in their lives. However, the staff, Emily in particular, was amazingly kind and genuine. Their two bed, two bath efficiency is perfect for their needs and the cafeteria provides yummy, healthy food. Here again, the staff knows them by name and this kind of social interaction has improved their physical health as well as their mental state. Thank you to everyone for being so good to them and treating them as family.

Update: I reached out regarding my concerns and they were able to resolve the primary concern and took feedback in a professional and mature manner. They really seem genuine about a desire to make things right. Awesome Pool facility, cafe at the gym, well stocked turf area. I think they had alot of the typical needs covered. This is a senior center but you don’t have to be a senior to leverage the gym and facilities.
