Iceland Tour
Iceland Photography Tour: I'm fairly new to photography and went on the iceland tour. I'd never been to Iceland before and it was an amazing place. Steve got us to all the best places to shoot and a few lesser known places. He helped me with my long exposures and compositions.
If you get the chance, go on 1 of his tours. Very well organised.
Thank you, Ed! Look forward to seeing you on another tour soon.

I had the pleasure of attending Steve's photography workshop in London over a long weekend. He was assisted by Doug, and both were excellent guides who took us to many fascinating locations I never knew existed. Postman's Park was particularly moving, a place I'll always remember. The photography instruction was equally memorable, and Steve provided invaluable guidance as I'm relatively new to photography. I would highly recommend the London workshop to anyone looking to improve their skills.
PS, I'm no relation to Steve... Same surname! haha.
The Tuscany workshop is spectacular. Steven took care to ensure that the tour was tailored according to the conditions, so that we got the shots we came for. Small group with a great friendly vibe, everyone was looked after regardless of their skill and experience. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.
Exceptional!
I've worked for Steve many times over the years and modelled on one of his photographic workshops in Venice. As a professional model I've been involved in lots of events but I can honestly say that Steve's was the best! His organisation and planning for such a trip combined with his professionalism, creativity and friendly demeanor makes for a great experience. If you're looking to improve your photography skills or simply want to enjoy an arranged shoot in fabulous locations, then I can highly recommend Steve.
Thank you, Jessica, for your thoughtful review. Your recommendation means a lot, and we're glad the effort put into planning and creativity stood out!

Earlier this year I attended a fantastic photography workshop in Valencia, focused on the amazing City of Arts and Sciences. The workshop was led by Steve Gosling, and it completely changed the way I see the world.
Instead of just taking pictures of the whole building, Steve taught us to look closer. He showed us how to find shapes, lines, and textures in the different parts of the structures. We learned to see how a curve could create a beautiful shape, how a long line could lead your eye through a photo, and how the details of a wall's texture could make a picture more interesting.
It wasn't just about using our cameras. It was about training our eyes to find new things to photograph. Steve taught me to go beyond what's obvious and find beauty in small details. This workshop was a great experience and has made me a much better photographer. The trouble is I now look for shapes and lines everywhere I go!
Iceland
I booked last minute with Steve for the winter trip to Iceland, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Everything, from the hotels to transport and photo locations, was spot-on. We hit the well known hot spots at the perfect times, but what really stood out were the hidden gems Steve knew about. These spots were mostly free of crowds, yet just as breathtaking. Highly recommend.
Magnifique Carnaval de Venise
Ah, quelle expérience magnifique!
I have visited the carnaval before and also worked on the carnaval and met with Steve before, so when returning as a photographe, I knew who to contact. Again it was truly enchanting. Steve’s knowledge of the city’s secret corners allowed us to escape the crowds and capture Venice in its most magical light. Steve knows many of the costumed persons, so full of elegance and mystery, became living works of art in our lenses. With his guidance and creative eye, Steve pushed me to see differently and photograph with more imagination. A perfect blend of artistry, culture, and la joie de vivre!
Good Tuscany Tour
Attended a photography tour in Tuscany with Steven Gosling in the spring, and it was a fantastic experience. We explored many beautiful villages and captured some truly stunning sunrise scenes. We had 2 rainy days but tour was well-organised, and Steven was a knowledgeable and supportive guide throughout. On one of the rainy days we had a few hours editing photos which was a bonus. One of the highlights was the lovely wine tour, which added a great local flavour to the trip. The group was small, friendly and fun, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Steven’s tours to anyone looking to improve their photography while enjoying amazing locations!
Thank you, Linda! It’s great that the rainy days turned into a valuable editing session, and we’re thrilled you enjoyed the wine tour!

I joined a photography workshop in Valencia with Steve Gosling. We photographed the amazing buildings at the City of Arts and Sciences. It was a great experience.
Steve is a very good teacher. He helped us to see the architecture in a different way. He gave good advice and helped each person to improve their photos.
The location was perfect for this kind of architect photography. The shapes, lines, and reflections were very beautiful. I enjoyed working with other photographers and sharing ideas.
I had an online editing help from Steve as well which was good.
It was a fun and inspiring workshop. I learned a lot and would love to do another one with Steve in the future.

Slovenia Photography Tour
I booked on Steve’s Slovenia trip last winter, because apparently, I thought snow and early mornings were a good idea. There was little snow and the weather wasn’t exactly ideal (think more moody clouds than golden sunshine), but funnily enough, that ended up working in my favour. When I got home and looked through my shots, I realised I’d come away with some really atmospheric and moody images I’d never have pulled off before.
Steve offered a free editing session after the trip and those photos went from meh to wow pretty quickly. I honestly ended up with a set of images that were way beyond what I thought I was capable of before the trip.
Steve really knows his stuff, he clearly puts a lot of effort into researching the best spots, and we hit some amazing locations at just the right times. He’s also just a great guy to travel with, super knowledgeable, helpful, and keen to see everyone improve.
Since then, I’ve definitely noticed my photography’s levelled up, especially on trips I’ve done solo. I’ve already booked the Madeira trip, and I’m really looking forward to another great experience (hopefully with a bit more sun this time!).
Thank you, Stewart! Yep there was no snow and a bit of rain and I thought you came away disappointed, but then after our editing session you produced a great set of images. Excited to have you on the Madeira trip—fingers crossed for sunshine!
Great Venice winter photos
Last year I joined Steve Gosling’s winter photography workshop in Venice. Venice in the winter is quiet, peaceful, and full of atmosphere, perfect for photography.
Each morning, we started early to catch the misty light over the canals. The fog gave the city a soft, dreamy look, and Steve showed us how to use that to create beautiful, moody images. It was a very different side of Venice... calm, almost silent, and magical.
One of the highlights of the trip was visiting the old fishing huts on the lagoon. These wooden huts on stilts were amazing to photograph, especially using long exposure techniques. With Steve’s help, we learned how to slow down our shutter speeds to create smooth water and soft skies. The results were stunning... simple, peaceful, and full of atmosphere.
Steve is a good and patient teacher. He gave helpful advice and was always available to answer questions. He has a real passion for photography, especially black-and-white and minimalist styles, and he helped us see the beauty in simple, quiet scenes. But he also encouraged us to find our own style.
This workshop was more than just taking pictures of canal... it was about slowing down and really seeing the beauty in a place. If you want to improve your photography in a unique and inspiring setting, I highly recommend Steve’s winter workshop in Venice and I'm looking to book the carnival workshop next year.
Thank you, Sarah, for sharing your experience! We hope the upcoming carnival workshop brings you even more memorable moments!

Last year to went to Madeira on a photography tour with Steve Gosling, and it was one of the best trips I have ever done.
From the first day, Steve took us to amazing places on the island - the obvious stunning hot spots but also many hidden places that were clearly off the beaten track. We saw tall mountains covered in warm sunset colours and beautiful sunrises from viewpoints high above the clouds. One of my favourite places was the Fanal Forest, which was full of mist that made it look like something from a fairytale. We also visited dramatic clifs and sea stacks rising out of the ocean - they looked incredible, especially at sunrise.
The trip was not just about photography. We also did a lovely wine tour where we tasted Madeiras famous wines, and we explored Funchal, the capital city. The city tour was really interesting, with old streets, the famous artists doors, colourful markets, and lots of good street photo spots. Oh and got to try some poncha as well!
Steve is not only a great photographer but also a fantastic guide. He shared his knowledge in a clear and friendly way and helped me take the best photos.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves photography and beautiful places. Madeira is stunning, and with Steve, it is even better.
London photography workshop
I don’t normally write reviews, but I had an amazing time on Steve’s London workshop. There was a lot of walking (my feet were killing me by the end!), but I got to see so many spots and viewpoints I didn’t even know existed. Steve’s hands-on help made the tricky shots way easier too, plus learning more creative ways to see and shoot. All in all, a great experience - I’ll definitely be booking another trip soon!
Thank you, John! We're thrilled to hear you had such a great time and discovered new viewpoints. We look forward to welcoming you on another workshop soon!
Venice Carnival workshop
Booked on the Venice Carnival workshop. Had a really great time. Steve knows amazing hidden places to shoot away from the Carnival crowds. Plus he knows many of the masks so we got to shoot them privately. This had been on my bucket list for years. Highly recommend.
Thank you, Geoff! We're thrilled you enjoyed the workshop and the special access to hidden spots and private shoots with the masks. It’s great to hear we could help check this off your bucket list!
A Top-Tier Workshop Experience in Tuscany
As a Canadian photographer based in the U.S. (I know!!!) it takes something truly special for me to head over to Europe for a workshop. I also run my own photo workshops here in the States, so I have high standards, and Steve's workshop in Tuscany absolutely delivered.
After researching several different tour providers, I came across Steve and reached out with a long list of questions. He responded quickly and thoroughly, which gave me the confidence to book right away. This workshop was part of a larger European trip I had planned, and I’m so glad I made it part of the journey.
From day one, it was clear that Steve puts his heart into every aspect of the tour. If the weather didn’t cooperate, he went above and beyond to find alternative locations with great shooting potential. His instruction was excellent... insightful, hands-on, and practical. Even as an experienced photographer, I came away having learned a few new things.
I’ve already signed up for another trip with Steve next year, and I’m looking forward to it.
Thank you, Jim, for sharing your incredible experience! We're thrilled the workshop exceeded your expectations and enriched your journey as a photographer. Excited to have you join us again next year! Safe travels until then!

Steven’s Valencia architecture photograph was very enjoyable, educational, inspiring and cost competitive. As promised, our small group came away with a keener sense of abstract photography, much better black-and-white fine art compositions and a knowledgeable appreciation of architecture photography. The futuristic and unique City of Arts and Sciences presents a wealth of opportunities and challenges and is a joy to explore.
The post processing session was incredibly instructive as Steven help us improve our amazing images with minor, subtle but striking edits. His knowledge of the futuristic complex was greatly appreciated. He made every effort to make sure that we got the shots that we wanted, that they were done correctly in camera and if not, then how to edit in post.
Though Steven was also out shooting with us, he made sure we were correctly in place for the best composition and checked for symmetry. He was available if we needed assistance but was receptive to letting us wander about on own own. Steven helped us to see compositions we never would have thought of and enabled us to expand our creative vision.
Note: this review was written with the input of two others from the UK who went on the same workshop; all three of us were strangers but now are friends.
My trip last February to the Venice Carnival included a fantastic dance workshop, and the blend was truly amazing. The unique backdrop of the carnival, combined with a ballet dancer showcasing some magnificent ball gowns, created an ideal shoot environment. While I've had prior experience photographing dancers, Steve's deep understanding of prime shooting spots, coupled with the excellent direction provided by both Leigh and Steve, was instrumental. I came away with a wonderful collection of images.
Thanks Stevie. I've seen some of your photos from the workshop on insta and you got some amazing shots.

My photo workshop in Valencia with Steven Gosling comprised three fabulous full days with a tutor who was intimate with the location, both old Valencia and, especially, the Arts & Science Park. When I first beheld the park, my immediate thought was: “is that it? This is just a day’s photography”. However, Steven knew better as he slowly revealed the many and various aspects of this architectural wonder of the world. Throughout our time together, Steve was an attentive, personable and inspiring tutor and, crucially, was constantly in tune with that one vital aspect we photographers are forever chasing: the light. I came away with images that have gone on to win awards and acceptances in exhibitions and camera club competitions.
Excellent London photography trip
I attended the Creative London workshop. It did rain — but we can’t blame Steve and Doug for that (though I might try!). Luckily, they had plenty of plan B locations up their sleeves, which worked out brilliantly. I especially wanted to experiment with long exposures, and Steve kindly lent me a set of filters — plus a quick masterclass on how not to mess it up. I came away with a set of photos I’m genuinely proud of, capturing my hometown of London from angles I didn’t even know existed. All in all, a great weekend of photography, a bit of British weather, and a lot of inspiration.
Thank you, Katya, for your wonderful feedback! We're thrilled you enjoyed the Creative London workshop and captured photos you're proud of.

Tuscany 11-18May 2024:
I’m late in writing my review
This was my second trip with Steven Gosling from Creative Photo Adventures. And my second trip to Tuscany.
I had previously been on a workshop with someone else during the Autumn season a few years earlier.
What a difference a season makes.
From the moment Steve collected us all, the great times started.
En route from the airport to our accommodation for the week, Steve knows of some great spots to stop for shots. Always keep your camera gear easily accessible.
His knowledge of the area is unparalleled.
Steve works hard, ensuring that everyone gets the best shots they can.
He’ll guide you on composition, making suggestions on how you could capture the scene from a different perspective, always putting the client first.
If the conditions weren’t perfect, he took us to other locations.
He even goes as far as to drive and hunt out the elusive mist or search for a Poppy field; he manages to find the ideal vantage point to capture great images.
What I like about Steve’s trip is that, although it's predominantly a Landscape trip, he also included some beautiful hilltop Towns and villages, as well as urban photography. Plus some little extras.
Tuscany workshops mean early starts and long days; We were out before dawn to capture the wonderful light, and hopefully the elusive mist.
We would return to the hotel for a hearty breakfast, recharge and go back out again. He will never have you trying to capture the landscape in harsh light.
The accommodation for this trip is in an excellent location for exploring the countryside and Towns.
The transport Steve provides is comfortable. Steve is a great diver.
If you're looking to learn more about photography, explore the stunning Tuscan countryside, and see Iconic locations, this trip is perfect for you.
If you're an experienced photographer seeking unique images, this trip is ideal for you.
Steve has a high return customer rate, which I think speaks volumes.
This was another marvellous trip, with lasting memories of stunning locations, laughter, great food, and friendships made, along with some excellent images taken.
Some of my pictures have even been published in an International Photography Magazine
Thanks Alex. I'm glad your return visit to Tuscany was a great success. I know you've also had amazing success with getting many images published including a full write up in a photo magazine.
