Nous avons adorĂ© notre expĂ©rience. Câetait vraiment intĂ©ressant dâaller avec Isabel au marchĂ©. Elle nous a bien expliquĂ© les diffĂ©rents types de piments. Nous avions dĂ©cidĂ© de faire des tacos al Pastor. Nous avons faire plusieurs sortes de sauces et de guacamoles ainsi que fait nos tortillas en plus de la viande al Pastor. Tout Ă©tait dĂ©licieux. We recently took part in a cooking class with Isa during our honeymoon. It was honestly a highlight of our honeymoon! We love learning about different foods and cultures, Isa was so informative about not only the delicious dishes that we cooked, but Mexico and Playa Del Carmen more generally too; she answered all questions and we really enjoyed our conversations. Learning to make not only a Yucatan fish dish, but also different guacamoles was so enjoyable, as was visiting the local food market. A highly recommended experience, would love to do this again if we return to Playa Del Carmen.

Excellent experience with Issa. Lovely lady and very warm and hospitable. Food was great and very paced lesson and all clear as well - nice little authentic shop for the spices and hibiscus flower and then as we cooked we made the guac in different forms the tortillas and drank the refreshing hibiscus. Great chicken pibil dish with fried cactus.
She was lovely with our year old too ! Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Loved meeting at the market to learn about local ingredients and interact with the people inside. Isa was very kind and patient with us and answered all of our questions. The tikin xic fish, ceviche, guacamole , sauces and drinks were delicious. There was more than enough food for everyone to eat. We would definitely book another cooking class with Isa if we were ever back in Playa del Carmen.

We did a 3 hours cooking class with Pablo (Isa's husband) and his brother. We were only the 4 of us. It was a great experience. Cooking, explanations of the recipe and all around conversation were super fun. I recommend.

Issa took us through the selection of chilies at a local market and then we went to her house. We made the best tacos el pastor I've ever had using traditional techniques in which she was a master as well as very well versed in the history of the foods and liquor. She had a very easy going nature when my friend and I kept messing things up. I could not recommend this class highly enough.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed this fun, hands-on class. We learned about different types of fresh and dried peppers at the market, then used them in our food. The location was very convenient in Playa del Carmen Centro. Highly recommend for fun and great food!

Informative, fun, and filling!
This class was a really great experience. Isa was extremely knowledgeable, welcoming, and spoke English fluently. We enjoyed all of the dishes that we prepared in the class. It gave really great insight into Mexican ingredients and commonly prepared dishes. Would highly recommend this course to everyone.
Isa's Authentic Mexican Cooking School is fantastic. We made 3 amazing dishes with Isa and when we went to the market we learnt about the wonderful peppers we used in the dishes. I would 100% do it again to learn more about Mexican cooking. I can't wait to make the recipes for my friends and family.

This class was not only fun and delicious, but a great learning experience. We had the best experience with Isa... from going to a local market to select ingredients, to learning a few knife skills, preparing the dishes and enjoying them. We appreciated learning about the culture; it felt like a truly authentic experience.

We had a great time with Chef Isa making authentic Mexican food. She was patient and explained everything thoroughly. We made traditional guacamole, guacamole with mango, then a type of salsa with tomatoes, onion, garlic, and dried chili peppers, roasted on a pan and then blended with fresh herbs added after. Then we made Chile rellenos (battered poblano peppers) stuffed with cheese and shrimp, made a sauce for the chili rellenos, and also fried nopales (cactus), homemade corn tortillas, and then did a tequila and mezcal tasting (and had grasshopper with that!). This was truly the highlight of our trip to Playa del Carmen. We would definitely book another class if we come back to the area!

Absolutely fantastic experience - don't hesitate to book a cooking class with Isa! We met at a local market, where Isa talked us through the wonderful fresh ingredients we'd be using in our dishes. We then walked the short distance to her lovely apartment to be greeted with delicious and refreshing hibiscus water. Isa is a great teacher and all the dishes we made were just delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our class and would highly recommend to any foodies visiting Playa del Carmen.
