Fun, great food, informative

Very informational, delicious food, a definite must when visiting Cozumel. Highly recommend!!!

My 11 year old son, 8 year old daughter, husband, mother and myself were fortunate enough to join Jeronimo for the cooking class in Cozumel last week. Shopping in the market was both fun and educational. We cooked and ate so much food, every dish was more delicious than the last. Jeronimo's passion for food, cooking and culture is infectious. My kids even stayed entertained (and they LOVED the food, especially the mango smoothies!). One of the best and most unique excursions I've done. You will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful experience with Cozumel Cooking Classes! Booking was easy, and we were warmly welcomed by Jeronimo, who gave us a fun and informative market tour—we even brought home some amazing spices. The cooking class itself, hosted in Jeronimo and Josefina’s kitchen, was hands-on and delicious. We made salsas, guacamole, banana-leaf wrapped fish, and tortillas from scratch. My husband was absolutely giddy—he’s been recreating the recipes at home and even hosting our own Jeronimo-style fiestas! This was a highlight of our trip and a memory we’ll savor for years to come.

My friend and I had a blast during our cooking class! It was amazing to visit the local market, make two different types of salsas, a delicious fish dish, tortillas, and much, much more. Everything was very tasty, and I would highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Cozumel. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience!

We had a great time with Jeronimo, Josefina's son. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about local cuisine. The local market was fascinating and the food very fresh. He cooked many things for us to sample in his kitchen and we helped with the main course including making our own tortillas. We chose the fish and shrimp and it was all amazingly delicious. He was able to adjust the seasonings from mild to hot according to each person's taste. We were a group of five adults. Finding a taxi from the ship was easy and Jeronimo arranged return transportation, The local people were friendly and we always felt safe. We would highly recommend this experience.

Absolutely FANTASTIC experience!! Jeronimo is very cool and down to earth, and you can just feel his love for cooking. He shared so much info on the ingredients we used to cook, and other types of foods in the Mercado. His Ceviche was literally the best I've ever had and I've grown up making Ceviche! We learned so much. Very authentic experience. It was definitely the highlight of our vacation. The island and the people are just beautiful. Thank you so much!!

No better way to experience Cozumel’s cuisine. Jeronimo provides great detail and insight into every dish. All of the ingredients come fresh from the market, and the recipes easy to make for yourself back at home.

A great way to learn a ton about Mexican cooking. Jeronimo and team treated us to an excellent market visit, showed us the local tortilla factores and helped us cook Mole (our choice). We cooked many dishes and left super full of fresh flavors. Super clean and well done. A fantastic experience, well worth it.

Would recommend to anyone vacationing in Cozumel. Jeronimo was incredible. We made tacos al pastor, salsa, refried beans, guacamole and margaritas. Was one of the best times we ever had.

Before the class, Jeronimo provided us with multiple recipe options to choose from, allowing us to customize our menu to our group’s tastes. We started the day by shopping together at the local market, where we learned about fresh, regional produce and ingredients. It was a great way to immerse ourselves in the local food culture before getting hands-on in the kitchen. Back at Jeronimo’s home, we jumped into a fantastic cooking experience. We made fresh tortillas, guacamole, salsa, refried beans, chicken, pork, and more—everything was absolutely delicious, and we were completely stuffed by the end! Jeronimo was warm, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience fun and engaging for everyone. This wasn’t just a cooking class—it was a genuine cultural connection and one we’ll always remember. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Cozumel and looking for something truly special!

We have been to Cozumel several times on cruises. This experience made this the best visit we have had. veronimo was an amazing guide as we made our way through the market to buy the ingredients we would need to make al pastor. He is full of culinary knowledge and history surrounding authentic Mexican food. Once in the kitchen, he and his assistant, treated us like family... literally inviting us into his home kitchen and dining area to help create and eat a fresh delicious feast! This was really the best Mexican food I have ever had. I love that we went way off the beaten path to meet Jeronimo and have this amazing experience. I would do it again in a heartbeat because Jeronimo has more recipes for us to try.

I enjoyed this experience so much, I learned so much about the food in this region at the Mercado. We agreed on a menu, purchased the best ingredients and then helped prepare the best lunch! I loved trying everything! Thank you sharing your stories and your cocina!

We loved our cooking class with Jeronimo! The market tour in Cozumel was really interesting, and you can tell that Jeronimo is a familiar and welcome face among the vendors. He taught us so much about the food and culture of the area in just a few hours time. We were able to choose our menu, and back in his kitchen, his sous chef and him helped us prepare the most fresh and delicious meal we had on the island.

Wonderful Cozumel culinary experience you should do too! Jeronimo is so knowledgeable about local produce & spices, trade, cooking and culture. The salsas, guacamole, cheesy squash, snapper and aguachile we had was the best meal on my entire trip. The hibiscus drink was refreshing and the mango mezcal cocktail was phenomenal. I learned a lot to elevate my cooking skills and had a blast.
