I had a great experience today. The owner was kind and extremely knowledgeable with 45 years of experience. This was my first ball purchase. I really look forward to using it. He even let me watch the drilling process. It's always fun to watch a master at work.My biggest suggestion for anyone coming in is set up an appointment. Other than that it's was a great overall experience.

Dirk was one of the most genuine guys I’ve met. Was very flexible with my appointment time for new ball shopping. Watched me throw a few shots down the lane to help gauge what ball would be best for me, got me fitted and worked with me personally on tooling my swing with my new ball. Amazing service all around, will definitely be back!
I went in to Dirk’s initially for a new ball because I wasn’t getting the response I wanted from my old ball. Not only did he help me pick out a perfect new ball to add to my arsenal, he went above and beyond and gave me some great pointers on how to fix my form after watching me throw a few frames that actually allowed me to get my old ball to drive through the pins better as well. Whether you’re looking for new gear or just some lessons on how to improve your game, Dirk and his crew are the guys to go to! They’re all extremely knowledgeable in bowling and care about their craft! That night I brought my average up 21 points!
Because Competitive Edge bowling had excellent reviews, I decided to take the trip to visit their shop for a review of my existing equipment. Dirk who is very knowledgeable, provided his recommendations. I agreed on getting my existing Hammer strike ball reconditioned with new finger inserts and purchased a new spare ball with inserts designed to go straight, no hook, same weight as my Hammer ball. In addition, Dirk took the time to watch me throw a few balls and recommended changes to improve my approach. His recommendations have helped me a great deal and i couldn't be more thankful. Dirk had both balls ready for me the next business day. Both balls are working for me as designed and fit me perfectly with no issues or concerns to report. I have to say I was glad that I made the decision to go to competitive Edge bowling. Overall I give this shop 5 stars. For those of you who are in need of new equipment etc. and are contemplating where to go, look no further, go to Competitive Edge Bowling, you will be glad you did.

Really good! I went here to get my first ball with barely any experience and Dirk was extremely helpful with giving me tips and getting the ball fitted. The prices were also more than reasonable. If you are thinking about getting a ball or just wanting to bowl in general I think you will find this place awesome!

I had an appointment with Dirk to get fitted for my 1st bowling ball. I travelled pretty far to specifically go to Competitive Edge because of the reviews I've read. It did not disappoint. Dirk took great care of me and took the time to watch my technique and grip to determine the best ball and grip placement. He even came to watch me after it was done to make sure I was satisfied. Great knowledge and customer service.

In August, I'd made an appointment with Dirk to discuss equipment options, after a 20 year hiatus from bowling. Dirk took his time with me, asking how I used to bowl, what I'm looking to do, etc.
After looking at several different balls, Dirk recommended the Radical Outer Limits Pearl, and come to find out, this was the perfect ball for me and how I throw. After bowling in a doubles league for 14 weeks, I'm averaging 201. After the holidays, I'll be returning to Dirk for a ball to compliment the Outer Limits.
Dirk, thank you so much, for pointing me in the right direction with regards to a ball, shoes and bag. I'm back in action and look forward to it every week. I'll see you after the holidays for another ball!

I cannot say enough good things about Dirk and team! They welcomed me as a new bowler looking for lessons. After just the first lesson, my game improved so much. They took the time to get me into a ball that would suit me well and be very usable. I've had balls drilled in a couple of places now and can say Dirk has been by far the best and most considerate I've found. Competitive Edge has become my pro shop for all future business and I highly recommend it become yours too!

Dirk is amazing! Known him for years as he has been instrumental in supplying bowling needs for my family. He knows what to do, when to do it and how to do it. He’s given my son lessons and has corrected his many inconsistencies! I highly recommend Dirk for any bowling needs!!
