I am an American who wanted to set up a small business in Ireland, and I knew nothing about what I was doing. But Company Bureau has been so incredibly helpful, every step of the way. Sofia Perez helped with the formation, and after that, she didn't leave me to navigate a foreign tax system by myself. Along with Lorna Gamble and every single employee who has assisted me (Delanie, Viktorija, Anca, Olivia, and many more I'm forgetting) has been so patient and wonderful. Had a very poor experience with the Company Bureau. The Bureau had the opportunity to correct or question an obvious mistake I made in filling out a form to set up a one-director limited company, but chose not to do so, and subsequently charged me over €600 to amend it. A common reason a director would utilise the bureau is due to the absence of knowledge on how to form a company themselves. Really disappointed with this and feel that they’ve done the bare minimum.
