I wasn’t sure about taking a beginner split board class as I have already been in the backcountry. However, I learned some things about my bindings and equipment and it was the first time I have ever tried riding down over icy flats/ slight uphill with poles. I’m sure I would’ve never tried that on my own and yet it was a game changer. It really encouraged me to follow others more skilled than me and increased my confidence level on those icy flats. Also really appreciated the classroom setting initially and then moving out for the tour. I had a lot of fun and highly recommended it.

I took an AIARE 1 course with CAG and it was excellent. Our guide Spencer was a great teacher and I learned a ton of practical knowledge to help me plan trips and recognize avalanche risks in the backcountry.

I’m an ice climber thanks to our guide Nate Our guide Nate was so wonderful. He took time to tell us about the history of the site and the science behind avalanches along with lots of other things. You couldn’t ask for a more accommodating, friendly and kind guide. We had a blast on our adventure even if we weren’t the best at the ice climbing. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who has an interest I trying this activity.

I took the AIARE Level 1 and was happy to have used Colorado Adventure Guides. The instructors were great. They had decades of experience, included personal experiences that showed the realities of avalanche terrain and so much insight to learn from. I like the way that the class was structured and covered a number of topics. This gave me a good direction in what all I need to practice (and practice consistently) and a layout to plan and execute simple trips in the backcountry. I was also stoked the instructors repeated to reach out to them after the class with questions or help with review of our tour plans as needed. They really care about keeping people safe and teaching you to be careful. Would recommend you take this course if your planning on any winter backcountry excursions.

Wrapping up our annual Colorado family trip and wanted to sincerely thank Chase as he went above and beyond what we expected for our snowshoe tour! This was our 3rd time snowshoeing in Colorado and hands down the BEST one yet..Chase made hot coco for the kids while the adults got to “nerd out on snow science” as he called it..ha!! Seeing the different kinds of snow under the magnifying lense was my wife and father-in-law’s favorite part. Amazing job and a big thank you to Chase and Colorado Adventure Guides. Fantastic group of people! Will be back next year!!!!

I took the Intro to Splitboarding one-day course with Colorado Adventure Guides this past weekend and it was outstanding from start to finish. Huge shoutout to JP and Aaron, they were exceptional instructors. The balance of education and hands-on practice was spot-on, and they went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable with their gear. They were incredibly patient, especially when it came to dialing in gear, transitions, and technique. They met everyone where they were and made sure the whole group felt comfortable, confident, and supported. On top of all that, they created a fun, relaxed environment that made the day genuinely enjoyable. If you’re thinking about getting into splitboarding, I can’t recommend Colorado Adventure Guides and JP and Aaron, highly enough. Professional, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. I’ll absolutely be back for another course.

I summited Mount Quandary on Jan 29th with Tanner Thompson of Colorado Adventure Guides. Tremendous experience all around. The January weather made it challenging, and memorable. Snowshoe Trip Chase was our snowshoe guide is he was great - I highly recommend! I told him what our group was looking for and he did a great job planning out a hike and tailoring it to what we wanted to do.
