Excellent experience with CJ hiking Quandary Peak. This was my first 14er, and CJ took the time to understand my capabilities. He called days before to ensure I had everything I needed and set up the details for the day of the hike. CJ was fantastic with monitoring the hike, setting the pace, and making sure I knew what to expect. CJ is an excellent guide and I highly recommend him.

My friend and I used Colorado Aventure Guides for our first hike on a 14 footer. We changed our plan from Grey and Torreys to Quandary last minute, and the company was very accommodating and refunded the difference in cost. Jared was communicative the day prior to the hike and served as an excellent guide, pacing us appropriately and providing encouragement, tips, and some interesting information along the way. He even spotted mountain goats that were probably missed by most other hikers! It was a cloudy day with a threat of thunderstorms, but we felt safe and reassured with his guidance, and he even brought extra warm gloves for me to borrow since mine were too thin. He was prepared but laid back and fun to chat with on the trail. The price is steep but would highly recommend if you are not familiar with the trails or hiking at altitude. We saw a few people turning back before summiting, and we might have done the same if we did not have Jared’s expert support.

I don’t normally leave reviews but Jared Current did such an amazing job guiding me up Quandary Peak. I booked the trip late in the afternoon the day before. I was in Colorado for a business trip and didn’t have all my gear for a winter weather climb. He gave me a jacket, gloves and crampons. I used pajama bottoms as a base layer. Lol. The day was fantastic. Jared is a very knowledgeable guy and I learned a lot from him. We had great meaningful conversations the whole way up and he was a pleasure to hike with. He also takes great photos. I got so much out of the hike it was totally worth the money to have Jared take me up and back. I have 4 kids and hiking safely is always a priority for me. What I didn’t expect was how great of a guy Jared is and is probably one of the best people you could imagine spending 8 hours with. Thanks. I will return in the future.

Laid back atmosphere, guide explained very well what to expect and how he was gonna run it. Pointed out landmarks and explained the surroundings. He was knowledgeable of the landscape and nature we were in. Overall GREAT family experience!!

Awesome rafting company! Mike got me in on a trip same day when I got dumped by AVA rafting company. I drove 1 hr 45 mins to get to Kremmling when AVA said my trip didn't make. I'm grateful to connect w Colorado Adventure Guides at Rancho del Rio. I went inflatable kayaking alongside 2 rafts and Tanner was an exceptional guide and helper! He was full of stories, went out of his way to make it fun, and made sure we were safe at all times. I would highly recommend this company!!

Great day rafting on the Colorado River! Jake and Boyd were fun, engaging, and knowledgeable about the river, its history and the ecosystem. They were perfect guides. We saw a Bald Eagle, and a group of Rams. We even had the opportunity to swim in the great Colorado. A five star experience. I highly recommend Colorado Adventure Guides.

Great introduction to kayaking on a river! The guides were very entertaining and fun, laid back and positive attitude during angry August 🤭. Great group size of about 12 people or so. I would pay more for a longer kayak excursion and hit some Class III rapids my next time out. There is a general store for water or snacks, highly recommend bringing water, sunglasses, hat, GoPro. The road to the drop off point is a bit rugged for 10-15 minutes or so but it’s not bad. -NavigatorNick

Jake is a Great Guide We really enjoyed having Jake as our guide. He pointed out a pair of bald eagles and their eaglets. He also knew a lot of the history and ecology of the area. It was a beautiful and informative rafting trip!

Great Rafting experience! Rapids were a little slower than we hoped for but Boyd made the most of it for us. He was a great role model for my two young boys. Full of knowledge of the area and historical facts. 10/10 will go back.
