I was a client of Cohen & Jaffe beginning in 2021 for a laser burn case. Since this spanned so many years, I am now married and my records are under my maiden name LaFleur.
Caitlin was assigned to my case. Throughout her handling of it, she repeatedly failed to provide updates despite my numerous requests. My experience closely mirrors that of another reviewer who described the same lack of communication.
I had no clear understanding of whether the case was progressing at all. I was told multiple times that I would be deposed, yet this never occurred. Ultimately, I was forced to search the court system on my own just to determine the status of my case.
Calls and emails went unanswered, no meaningful progress was made, and years were wasted with no resolution. I have since retained another firm that has been proactive, transparent, and excellent in its communication—and they have made more progress in a short time than this firm did in years.
Based on my experience, I strongly do not recommend Cohen & Jaffe and urge anyone considering them to look elsewhere for legal representation.

I have had a great experience with "my Team" paralegal Cheryl Reeve, Marie Fiore and the calendar clerk Dara Koehl they have been very helpful, solicitous of my ignorance about all these legal matters. They have guided me though these various needs and activities, explaining and steering me in the right direction. I want to say very publicly that they are the greatest and should all get a raise! Stephen B. Tiger was patient and awesome at the same time, his last name is fitting because that is the type attorney he is...No BS and he stays on the insurances butt. I read a quote once by Jack Kerouac, it said 'I will find the right words, & they will be easy' well working with Cohen & Jaffe reminded me of that quote, especially working with Stephen B Tiger .. he just made me feel like nothing was a problem, & he explained everything to me in a way I could easily understand, No big lawyer jargon, no long drawn out explanations, just straight up & right to the point, I'm all about that, & the results of my case were better than expected, I set a minimum acceptable out come & Stephen totally surpassed that, & my favorite thing was how he was always available for any questions I had. I had a prior lawyer who did a poor job at my moms case and I knew it wouldnt be easy changing lawyers since a few years passed and it was not an easy case, even though she was not at fault. I had a consultation with Stephen Tiger and he was so knowledgeable and immediately hoped he would take the case. He went through my moms case thoroughly and after a few days he told me he would be able to help! The first thing he did was get an engineer to measure the stairs of the accident which the prior law firm did not do and asked for more depositions. He worked diligently for over one year, keeping me informed of everything that was going on and being completely open with everything. His Paralegal Carola was also exceptional. She kept all communications open and always called me back when I had questions. Stephen was able to settle my moms case for more than what we had expected. I am so happy we found him and not only because of the settlement but for the amount of effort he put into the case that may have not been a positive outcome. Hopefully we wont have any cases going foward but he will be our family lawyer. Thank you Stephen and Carola for all the genuine hard work that was put into moms case and truely appreciate you!!
