What a gem. Old hotel but very clean and modern facilities. We had a king room. Bed was very comfortable, room was big and had lovely paintings. It’s a bit of an art gallery place, that’s interesting.
The staff were friendly and it’s got that wonderful old fashioned pub vibe.
We had lunch, it was delicious and quick.
Though it was a Saturday night, we heard no noise. No traffic noise either.
We are definitely staying here again.
Stopped in for a quick pit stop and was pleasantly surprised. The food was great, everything was very clean, and you can even see into the kitchen from the bar — spotless as well. If you’re on a road trip and passing through, it’s definitely worth a stop. The landlady is wonderful too 😊
The Club Hotel in Southern Cross is a cracker of a spot. From the moment you walk in, Lyn makes you feel right at home with her warm hospitality. Her service is outstanding.
We tried a couple of beers on tap, and the Eureka was a standout, alongside a delicious steak sandwich made with scotch fillet. It was definitely worth the price. The pub has a great rural vibe, it’s clean, and even has a free pool table, which is a rare find these days.
This place is an exceptional local pub with a welcoming atmosphere and a good mix of regulars and thirsty travelers. The food is hearty and hits the spot, classic pub fare done well. Whether you're after a meal, a drink, or a casual catch-up, it’s the number one choice in town.
With its own brewery, this is the best hotel pub I’ve come across in a small town for a long time. We even returned to grab a couple of bottles of Eureka and had a great time in the capping process. I highly recommend stopping by for a feed, a drink, or even an overnight stay. Hats off to Lyn for making it all happen!
First time in here and was amazed by their beer selection brewed on site and its ball been renovated recently i think. Unfortunately i also ordered the chicken parmy which was something that we might find in the bottom of the freezer a uear or two after putting it there, dry chook, soggy crumbs/batter cause by the neo sauce that’s soaked in over the 2 years in the freezer and shrivelled up bacon topped with microwave cheese. But i will be back for amazing beer and certainly will try something new on rhe menu.

The Club Hotel in Southern Cross is absolutely outstanding! From the moment you arrive, Lyn and Kym make you feel like a true star — their hospitality and warmth go far beyond expectations. The service here is second to none; every staff member goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home.
The rooms are spotless, well-presented, and incredibly comfortable — a perfect place to relax after a long day. The food is also top-notch, with generous portions and delicious flavours that you can tell are made with care.
You can really feel the pride and passion that Lyn, Kym, and their team put into everything they do. Highly recommend staying here — it’s a genuine country gem and one of the best experiences you’ll find anywhere!
My partner and I were travelling back across the Nullarbor to Perth and needed a food stop. We realised we were running late so called ahead to ask the hotel whether we could pre order. Despite being 30mins late a magnificent steak sandwich was there waiting for us made with succulent scotch fillet. Not only was the calibre of the food an unexpected surprise the pub itself felt like stepping into a trendy Freo tavern. The ambience is amazing, service warm and friendly and the food fantastic. I’d have to say I think this is my best county pub. Thank you for giving us a much needed fuel stop with all the magnificent extras.
